Read moreAverage sushi at a very high price. Very disappointed with the rolls served. Cut too thick to eat. Also the rice wasn't prepared properly for the nigiri as it was falling apart so I had to pick it up in pieces with my hand.
The California roll we ordered was served in literally 30 seconds after we ordered it. It was clearly not made to order as it would be impossible to prepare it at that speed and the entirety of the roll was very cold throughout meaning it came out of a refrigerator.
Ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was very disappointing. It was served fried which I didn't like but it was extremely hot and I mean in a suspicious way as if it was cooked too long in the microwave. It appears to me that it was pre-made and then microwaved based on how it was no longer crispy. I didn't care for the teriyaki sauce. Very thin and lacking in flavor.
I expressed my complaints with the supervisor and told him I refuse to eat the chicken teriyaki and would like a refund for it. He tried to argue with me that everything was prepared fresh to order. Sorry, but you will not be able to convince me that a California roll that is refrigerator cold throughout and served within 30 seconds was prepared fresh to order. We ended the conversation with him refunding the order for the chicken teriyaki. I'm not interested in continuing to argue with him about the food being prepared fresh or not.
I also found the staffing situation to be weird. They were very well staffed in the front, 3-6 staff members standing around near the front at all times. They are attentive when we raise our hand but otherwise they don't do anything. It is the simple things such as being provided water and getting refills that would be appreciated but we need to raise our hand to get it because the staff just stands in the front chatting with each other, laughing and yelling, teasing each other, and doing nothing else.
The prices here are high. There are sushi restaurants in Los Angeles that have similar prices that are better than this place. If the quality was up to par, I would be fine with the food, but it is all very average at best. You are paying a premium to have a train...
Read moreVery accommodating staff. Will help and assist you all the way specially if you’re a first timer. I had a fun and interactive dinning experience with the use of conveyor belt to deliver your orders. They mostly offer sushi as per their name sake but they also offer other regular Japanese foods we are familiar with like Kani salad, Ramen and Donburi. I only ordered Sushi, mostly Nigiri; Tuna, Salmon and Squid and a Tuna Sashimi as I love Tuna sashimi! You can order up to 4 items before you click “Go” to begin your order and wait for the bullet train containing your orders! I only managed to order 4 sushi because my tummy have no more space. Lol. But I specially liked their Squid Nigiri as they’re soft and tasty! I’d love to order more and the new Bacon wrapped asparagus Maki but well, I’ll prepare my tummy next time. Also, I’d like to mention that they have free matcha tea! You can get your own fix of matcha tea because there’s a faucet of hot water and a cup of matcha powder at every table. And as usual for any Japanese restos, they don’t come cheap but...
