Gela and I visited Gogii Yolii, a spot recommended by reputable food vloggers which aligned with our cravings. The well-lit and spacious restaurant offers complimentary snacks for those waiting in line, adding a nice touch to the waiting experience. We went with the "Regular" (₱599) plan that offers the following: 1) Meat: Sweet Soy Pork/Beef/Chicken + The sweet soy flavor remained intact even after cooking, giving a pleasant sweetness to every bite. + The viscous sauce perfectly balanced the flavor with the meat. 2) Meat: Sliced Pork/Beef + We favored the beef over the pork, with the sliced pork ideal as a starter due to its bacon-like profile. / The rendered fat from the sliced pork improved the surface for frying other meats. 3) Meat: Pork/Beef Enoki + Gela's favorite, with fresh enoki and the accompanying meat providing a satisfying umami flavor. 4) Meat: Garlic Herb Pork/Beef - The herbs overpowered the garlic, making this dish less enjoyable for us. 5) Meat: Pepper Garlic Jowl (Pork) - Overly peppered for my liking, affecting the overall enjoyment. 6) My side dishes: Onion Rings, Chicken Wings (3 pcs.), Gamja Jorin (Braised Potato), Goguma Mattang (Candied Sweet Potato), Egg Souffle + The seasoned breading and its accompanying dip, possibly a mix of ketchup, mayonnaise, and other ingredients, are excellent. It provides a welcomed respite from the rich umami, sweetness, and spiciness of the meats, thanks to the dip's subtle tanginess. + The Spicy Chicken Wings, despite the name, were basic fried chicken done right and can be served without the spicy sauce. / Not a fan of the braised potato; sweet potato stood out more. + The egg souffle was light and airy, best used to enhance other dishes. 7) Gela's side dishes: Kimchi (Spicy Pickled Cabbage), Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cake), Dan Muji (Pickled Radish), Eomuk Bokkeum (Fish Cake), Oi Muchim (Spicy Cucumber), and Pa Muchim (Scallion Salad) + Spicy side dishes added a zing and acted as a refresher from the greasiness of the meats. 8) Drink: Homemade Red Iced Tea + Not overly sweet, providing a refreshing break with available refills. 9) Dipping sauce/s: Sweet Soy, Gochujang, Soybean Paste, and Cheese + I dipped mine mostly in sweet soy and cheese, aligning with my preferred flavor profile of sweetness with a kick of salt and the creamy hint of cheese, which also has a touch of sweetness. + Gela, on the other hand, favored dipping hers in gochujang and what she thought was soybean paste, adding an extra punch or kick to the meats. 10) Dessert: 1 serving per person of GY Ice Cream + A perfect conclusion to the meal, especially after the hearty meat dishes, this dessert featured vanilla ice cream topped with milk powder on burnt sugar and accompanied by coffee jelly. + It wasn't overly sweet, even with the burnt sugar. The ice cream's creaminess, the added texture from the milk powder, and the subtle touch of coffee from the jelly all contributed to a delightful and balanced dessert experience. Our lunch at Gogi Yolii was a pleasant experience with excellent service, attentive staff, a variety of side dishes, and a clean ambiance. The 10% service charge aligns with the value received from the food, service, and atmosphere. Room for improvement: / Provide a list of meats and side dishes on the table to avoid unnecessary queries. / Consider asking customers about their meat preferences for immediate serving instead of presenting everything at once. Verdict: Babalikan

there's so much to complain about and so i will list it - 2 hours waiting time. it was understandable since it's a weekend pero what irked me was when we went upstairs the table was not set-up at all. marumi pa nga yung grill when we sat down, at naabutan pa namin yung staff magpalit. the least they can do with all the waiting was to have the side dishes served already but we had nothing on the table but just plates and utensils and we waited for good 10 minutes to have the side dishes served pa - staff was so unaccommodating. one staff was not smiling but it was fine maybe he was very busy but it looked like nagdadabog siya when he was placing down the side dishes. para bang utang na loob pa namin sa kanya na pinagsisilbihan niya kami sa bigat ng kamay niya maglapag. we always say thank you and ask nicely so i don't know what warranted his behavior - it was raining a lot and they didn't took the initiative para ibaba yung trapal knowing we're on alfresco. not like they didn't know na umaanggi so we asked them. but even though nakababa na yung trapal we're still getting rain splashed on - we gave them 3 order slip that didn't come. had to order to multiple staffs, followed-up to multiple staffs as well. kung hindi pa yung manager ang natawag namin hindi pa darating yung orders at di pa kami maaasikaso - utensils not properly washed - when we followed-up one order the staff told us "na-order niyo na po ba yan ma'am (referring to the order slip given earlier)" and my patience was really running out i blurted out "oo kanina pa nga yan e" - the refills we asked on the order paper took so long kailangan pa namin silang sadyain. we just ate whatever was left on our table while waiting for god knows how long. then last minute all the orders came at once (for the record we asked 1 hour ago at saka lang dumating nung nawawalan na kami ng gana) - even just the simple iced tea took so long. wala pang sinerve na service water initially - when we had our fill, we asked for the ice cream before sana kami umalis to give them a chance to redeem their selves but god it never came. out of frustration we just left not being able to taste that ice cream. how hard was it to scoop an ice cream that we waited 15 minutes and it didn't even get served apologies to some staffs when they thanked us as we leave but we didn't smile or thanked them back because the experience was horrible food was good but the service should be improved. i don't think the price was worth it for what we got in exchange

When we arrived, there are lots of people waiting to get called to have their sit and eat. We just knew the place is popular. While we are also waiting to get seated, they also offer drinks and popcorn outside, with matching TV on a wall, seats and an industrial fan should it gets hot. The place is great, I love the atmosphere. The space feels homey thanks to the green pallette of the place— not your usual industrial-looking samgyupsalans. We got seated sa back of the place, I think parang greenhouse 'yung theme nun, hindi mainit. 'Yung griller, charcoal na kalan, may controller sa apoy. One thing I disliked is siguro dahil na rin sa pagka-busy ng place kaya maingay. Hindi ko marinig yung kasama kong nagkwe-kwento kahit malakas boses niya. Their chika just got drown in the sea of chitters and chats, but that is what to be expected kasi samgyupsalan. Their selections of meats are the usual. But I can vouch for the Beef Enoki Roll and the Plain Chicken Wings. The roll has generous amounts of Enoki that when you take a bite, you'll hear the crunch from the delicious Enoki. The Plain Chicken Wings is to try for. It tastes like our Juicylicious, Crispylicious, Jollibee chicken joy (jk hindi 'yan paid promotion), pero real talk lang, masarap talaga, though medyo salty nga lang. I-pares mo nalang sa kanin nila. For the side dish, their potato marbles are meh, fish cake is dry— kimchi too, the salmon crunchy roll is kine of fine, their tteokbokki is kind of okay, I'm not fond of eating fruits and veggies in samgyupsalans so I didn't ate the other side dishes, and despite all of that I enjoyed their tofu. There is something so familiar sa tofu that just hits home. Ang comfortable kainin nung tofu, IDK but it's just me. Lettuce nila ang laki, p'wede nang ipamaypay sa katabi mo and ghis is the only place where I liked the three sauces. Mabilis serving, hindi ka mauubusan ng meats and stuffs. Pagkabillout, may ice cream na i-se-serve, single serve ice cream, with powdered milk and coffee jelly. Sarap, balanse 'yung lasa ng tatlo, bagay na bagay pampatanggal umay. Solid. A babalik-balikan.

My daughter and I had lunch here today. Interestingly, this restaurant opened only yesterday. We love K-bbq and over the years we have decided on two family favorites. Frankly, we are not sure about the two anymore after dining at Gogii Yolii! This restaurant has such a cool and relaxing vibe which is not something one usually says about a Korean bbq place. The place is spacious and the layout well designed and not crammed with tables as is always the case with such establishments. It is easy to make the case that the owners could make more money had they added more tables at the expense of customer comfort and dining experience. While that is quite impressive the star of the show is the quality of the food and the choices. We went for the P699 option and we were impressed. We had several beef and pork options, enoki mushrooms, good sized and truly fresh shrimps and both tuna and salmon sashimi. The sides were varied and were generally well prepared which in some Korean restaurants are more of an afterthought. Well, not in this place. Our table was packed with appetizers. So, nice place, good ambience, delicious food and then of course the service. Tine and a young female waitstaff were attentive, solicitous and happy to help. Sugar, the restaurant manager was personable. My daughter and I were hoping to have an enjoyable and satisfying meal based on what we saw in Tiktok. Well, we came away impressed. We shall be back. For sure.❤️

April 29 We were back at Gojii Yoli today (April 29) after a couple of months. We were absolutely delighted with our first two visits which happened soon after the restaurant opened. Without any qualification our dining experience today simply affirmed why GY is the best bbq restaurant for us and we have tried quite a number. The quality of the meat choices and the ban chan dishes (both were excellent!), the service and of course the vibe of the place all made for a delightful dining experience. The place was full but it was cool and not noisy or smoke-filled at all. Relaxing is a word that one does not usually associate with most Korean bbq places. Well, Gojii Yolli is one exception. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and had a truly pleasant lunch the whole time we were there. The place - its food and the service - just got even better!...
