I got the mango sticky rice and a Thai Milk Tea since Ive been craving these for a while. Google had this resto in their top rated so I gave it a try. Despite the limited parking, I got lucky with my one spot. Entered with a small dog on a chair left at the door because pets are not allowed inside. After placing my order, asked the staff if they could perhaps give him/her some water as it was very hot outside and I was surprised that they did something about it almost immediately, I absolutely loved this. It shows how much attention they give the customers for even these little things that dont concern them. Big plus point for me.
Waiters were all very nice and friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Serving time is very apt.
But then there was a discrepancy with my water glass that had remnants of lipstick. Of all my pet peeves apart from finding bugs in my food, this is one of them because your lips come directly in contact with the rim. I mentioned this to the waitress, she apologized, changed my water and then the Restaurant Manager approached me to apologize directly. Not very many stores would even escalate this matter but without hesitation, it was and I so appreciated this. They asked for my number also so that the Ops Mgr could apologize too and confirm what exactly happened. They said that they would check in with the Kitchen Team and ensure this would never happen again (I hope and it should not happen again). The value this store has for its customers is exemplary and beyond expectation. Another big plus point.
Presentation was extra, with option to pour the coconut milk yourself. I liked that both the milk tea and mango sticky rice were not overpoweringly sweet, they were tasteful and just right, making it enjoyable for an afternoon snack. The latter is good for sharing post meal though, enough to please the palette after a good Thai meal.
Overall and in spite of the mishap, I would recommend this Resto still; I havent tried the rest of the Menu but I will definitely come back for an actual meal.
Thank you and kudos to the kind of service that will keep your customers coming back. Will update once I return for...
Read moreSuper tasty authentic Thai food that brought Mr right back to the beaches of Bali that I grew up around. We ordered the crab/egg rice (comes with some amazing sauce), the pineapple fried rice (a little oily, but good), chicken satay, fried chicken, spring rolls, and salmon/mango appetizer. For drinks, we got the Lemongrass tea! For dessert, mango sticky rice! It's hard to find mango sticky rice here that isn't over/undercooked...And it was yummy!
That being said, there is no option to replace the proteins in some dishes like the pad thai. Most of the menu is shellfish, and you can't substitute shrimp pad thai for chicken, which is the main reason we didn't order it. My mom, who can't eat shellfish, was a little limited with what she could order. Thankfully, there was satay and fried chicken in the appetizers, but that's all she ate! No vegetarian options either since some of the food includes shrimp paste.
But what we did order...Wowowow, amazing. I like that it wasn't too loud in there after the babies in the next table stopped crying hehe. They would benefit from some sound dampening insulation, though, for sure, for anyone who gets overstimulated by sound.
Staff was friendly and attentive and explained the dishes very well! Food arrived in maybe 15-20 minutes since there was a lunch crowd with us. Bill arrived shortly after requesting it.
For parking, it's a little rough. If you have a driver, it's best to be dropped off while the car is parked somewhere else, since it's on a busy street with other establishments nearby.
Super craveable food, and I can't...
Read moreDecided to try Some Thai QC, hoping for a satisfying Thai food experience. Here’s how it went:
Food: 3/5 The food quality was good, and the dishes were flavorful, but there was no real wow factor. The taste was enjoyable, but not something that stood out compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. The biggest letdown was the portion size—what was supposed to be for sharing turned out to be quite small. While the pricing was reasonable, the quantity didn’t quite match up to expectations.
Service: 2.5/5 Service was disappointing. We ordered a starter and specifically requested it to be served first while waiting for the mains. The server came back pa nga and informed na that the Beef salad is being prepared. However, the mains arrived first, and by the time they were served, I asked for the started and sabay tanong sa kin, “papaya salad po ba”??? Pini-prepare na po, like seriously? I’ve decided to cancel na lang as no point of having the salad while the mains were at the table na, then all of a sudden, ready na daw and cant be canceled:( We were given wrong information too, not sure who was telling the truth. While it’s common in many restaurants in the Philippines to serve everything at the same time, it was frustrating that a simple request wasn’t accommodated. This reflects a lack of attention to customer preferences.
Overall Experience: 2.5 Some Thai QC is an okay choice if you’re in the mood for Thai food, but it doesn’t stand out in terms portion sizes, or service. Would...
