Straight Up Rooftop Bar at Seda Vertis North — Restaurant in Quezon City

The good:

The views are amazing, and the food is decently good.

Needs improvement:

The Pina Colada was flat, and served with ice. The only other place I’ve seen do this is Thailand. Speaking of which, it was better than any pina colada I had in Thailand. When you put ice (frozen water) in a drink that’s already not using Coco Lopez as the coconut sweetener it just tastes bland and is impossible to finish.

The other drinks my friend had were just okay or didn’t have enough alcohol, and she’s not an alcoholic.

Moving from the lounge area to a dining table and back could be a challenge as there were many reserved tables the night we went. As things got quieter we asked again, and my friend, a female, was told no but then I was told yes because I didn’t ask but instead told the waiter what we were going to do.

One of the main staff that helped us seemed new, and was a mix between easily confused and maybe not understanding English too well but I’ve seen this at a few places and in taxis now here in Manila.

Overall:

Good place for a decent view and just hanging out for a scenic meal. If you drink alcohol I’d be sure to order drinks they can’t mess up. If I went back I’d just have water or if my doctor clears me for wine, a glass of whatever is...

Waitress gave us the wrong order, we mentioned which beer is was clearly and she pretended that we didn't say it clear enough. We asked if they had Rosé to which she said yes they do, she came back with a different beer — turns out they don't have rosé. Did not even apologize for this mix up.

The servers are all scrambling in the bar, it's very uncomfortable with them walking and running around so confused compared to the other branches of this bar. The food is also really bad, steak was definitely one of the worst we've tasted. The caesar salad is LAUGHABLE for 588, you would at least expect a decent or passable one. The cocktails are also botched, it's like the barista doesn't even measure his ingredients properly, stick to ordering bottles if you must ever go here.

Overall, this is a place we'll never visit again. This will be our first and last time, for that price the place is charging you would at least expect a somewhat decent experience. The food and the drinks are really bad. Spend your money someplace else and...

UPDATE ON RE-VISIT - Food still 'ok' but not much flavour really. It's not great cooking from this kitchen

Cocktails - really very poor - either drowned like the cubre libra where the coke just overdosed the rum and filled to the rim. Or, just big sugar syrup base with a token effort to add the other ingredients

They have no idea how to make good cocktails and they are drowned, flavourless or super sweet. To be honest, for the venue, they are rubbish.

Stick to beer, wine or spirits
