I was lured in by the Google reviews, but Sam Stew turned out to be a disappointment. Not the worst, but definitely not worth coming back for. Let’s start with the good points: Drinks: The lemonade and unlimited fresh drinks were excellent — definitely a 5-star rating here. Ambience: The place looks fancy and well-decorated. However, the meat display section is quite unappetizing — it just looks... ugh. Soup: We tried the seafood soup, and it was actually very good. Hot, tasty, and filled with salmon, shells, and squid — nicely done. Now, the downsides — and the reasons we won’t be returning: Meat: This is supposed to be the star of the show, but it was a letdown. Most of the selection is pork — all dry and average at best. Nothing fresh or flavorful, just mid to low quality. For ₱800+ per person, you only get two beef options, both paper-thin. You even have to request them from a specific counter where one lady slices it for you. Kimchi: Not fermented properly, very crunchy. I personally prefer my kimchi soft and aged. Desserts: Brownies and cakes were dry — nothing special, just below average. Cheese: Probably the worst part. It tasted more like melted butter than actual cheese. No cheese flavor at all. Burner: The grilling burner was slow, and when we asked for another one, the server refused. So the four of us had to share a single medium-heat burner. Really inconvenient. If this meal had been priced at around ₱500, I wouldn't have complained. But for ₱800+ per head, this was a big letdown. Lastly, had I known this was part of the Vikings Group, I wouldn’t have paid ₱3,600 for four people. But it’s too late now. This is just another Vikings in disguise.

1.5 stars? bad and cheap-feel experience. didnt like any of the food, it was edible but bland. very fee options for their buffet food and very fee options for their grill and hotpot too. it looks like a lot at first but it really wasnt. they also dont have beef meat (or youd have to order it and they dont tell you thats an option) biggest reason for the low rating besides the food being not worth it at all. SERVICE SUCKS. no one was mean or rude but it felt like there was no service at all. we got to our table after a very long wait (but wait/line happens so im not complaining about that really) but no one attended to us for 15 minutes. no one turned the grill on and especially no one gave us hotpot or explained where to get the pot (which the server is supposed to give you btw). we had to walk around and look for someone to attend to us and usually they just told us to wait for our server because someone will come. but every time we needed something we couldnt do ourselves, we had to get up and look for someone to call someone else to help us. and all that for cheap looking broths that barely had any flavor, very few options of buffet food that didn't taste that great, they didnt even have complete sauces like hot sauce, and ice cream was so melted it felt like they unplugged the freezer to save energy. everything just felt cheap. the only good thing was the place looked really nice. but what you really get is so disappointing

Sam Stew offers a different buffet spread compared to other buffet places. Sam Stew offers a DIY hotpot and grill combined. They have different meat and seafood for grilling and hotpot, a variety of vegetables, cooked Korean and Japanese dishes, desserts, and various juices and sodas. Other than what is available on the spread, you can also have unlimited flavored chicken from their crew. They have a coffee station, halo-halo and ice cream. There were also times that they would offer other drinks, I assume are Korean, included in their unlimited selection. I've dined in this restaurant several times over the past two years. While their spread was impressive during the first few times, recent dining experiences showed the decline in the quality and type of meat and seafood that they have. Even the vegetable options was surprisingly reduced/replaced. One thing that I liked about this restaurant is that they have an express buffet and regular buffet option. Express buffet, which has a price reduced from the regular buffet, is only for one and a half hour, but you'll still be able to enjoy the whole spread. If you're into a combination of hotpot and grilled foods, then Sam Stew would be a good option.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sam Stew and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The staff at Sam Stew were incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home.

The menu at Sam Stew offers a wide variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. It was evident that the ingredients used were fresh and of high quality.

I also appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish. The plating was artistic and visually appealing, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

They were prompt in taking orders and ensured that everything was served in a timely manner.

Overall, I highly recommend Sam Stew for a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and inviting ambiance make it a standout choice. I can't wait to visit again and try more dishes from their menu.

Thank you so much Shone ( server ) for...
