We were hesitant to try Cibo again because of an underwhelming experience in their Nuvali branch but because of the East West Bank 50% off promo, we gave it a good and glad we did with Cibo Vertis North branch. We liked it too much that we ate here twice this July to varying satisfaction.
Pros: What was the best asset and consistently so were the staff, specifically the guy who I thought was the manager. They are very accommodating and helpful, with initiative and just warm. During our first try here, the food was amazing. Stand out was the steak La Bistecca Funghi Trifolati Patatine Fritte. The steak was so good, and the doneness was perfect. We ordered La Bistecca Rib Eye Steak on our second visit, and we had to request for it to be re-cooked because it was just too tough. We also love, on both visits, the 5 Formaggi (5 cheese) pizza. It was memorable, especially to pizza lovers like us. We ordered additional pizza on our second visit, the Spinaci Zola, and it was mostly ok. We tried and liked Spaghettini Allo Scoglio. The Lasagna classico was also a hit. The Rigatoni Alla Bolognese con Panna was just ok. We got the Cannoli trio for dessert, and it was ok. Not too sweet. We liked the pistachio flavor the best. We also tried the other pastries, the Bomboloni and Cornetto croissants. I liked them, but my wife didn't care for them as much. The dishes were very instagrammable. Looks eye-catching and mouth-watering.
Cons: Need consistency on the steak, especially give how expensive they were. Given how pricey the food is, I would suggest a more...
Read moreTried CIBO again because of Eastwest promo. The spinach dip pizza was good. prosciutto with arugula pizza was okay. steak was good also. The doneness was perfect. the meat was tender and tasty. A bit pricey though for 2700/500grms. but the overpriced pastas were soooo disappointing. we ordered BEEF & PORK RAGÙ RIGATONI and the Ghiotta Linguine. around 1k per platter. The pasta was cooked on the tougher side of al dente, probably because we were the last customers and it was almost closing time. But the tastes were meh. the ground beef of the rigatoni was almost finely ground and looked like seasoning because the portion was so small. probably won’t exceed a teaspoonful of meat. and sauce seemed like that of the melted cheese topping you put on tortillas. And the Ghiotta was, how do i explain it… it’s almost similar to the copycat of carbonara because they used bacon, mushroom, cream and cheese. I’m not so familiar with the dish so I searched for italian Ghiotta recipes and voila!!! The dish was supposed to have fish or be at least tomato based. Theirs was neither. But I like the soft bread that came...
Read moreDining at Cibo is always a delightful indulgence, and every visit reminds me why it’s worth every penny. The food is consistently satisfying, offering that perfect balance of comfort and quality, but what truly sets Cibo apart is the exceptional service. I want to highlight Bryan, who, even during a bustling lunch rush, managed multiple tables with such poise while still giving us his full attention. His attentiveness did not go unnoticed. A special thanks as well to Kenny, who informed us about a promo just before we settled the bill—saving us a significant amount and ending our meal on an even higher note. Cibo has a way of blending great food with thoughtful service, making each visit not just consistent but memorable in...
