WORST SERVICE EVER! We recently visited Dean and Deluca in Vertis north, and we had one of the worst dining experience. My husband and l ordered the beef rendang and salad, and we waited an excruciating 50 minutes for our order to arrive. When we inquired about the delay, the staff sheepishly admitted that they had forgotten about our order, leaving us feeling neglected and unimportant. To make matters worse, when my steak finally arrived, it was not only undercook, but it was also served cold. Despite clearly specifying that I wanted my steak cooked to a medium doneness, it arrived at the table medium rare, and the temperature suggested that it had been sitting out for some time. The lack of attention to detail and the disregard for our requests was utterly disappointing. It was clear that the kitchen and the staff were not communicating effectively, and the result was a meal that did not meet even the most basic culinary standards. Overall, the experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning again DEAN AND DELUCA VERTIS NORTH. The combination of poor service and subpar food was an absolute letdown, and I would caution anyone against dining there if they value their time and...
Read moreIt could get noisy once people get tipsy from the wine. Its a small place so the sound is amplified and for some reason a lot of people like to chat loudy while eating. If you want some peace and quiet choose the outdoor seating. Service is a bit subjective. Talk to the right staff and the service is good. Overall, I can see where most negative reviews about service is coming from. Moving on... El Chaparrito Pizza has a really good crust and light doughy texture. Plenty of toppings but at around 10 inch and costing 900+ price points definitely on the high side. Organic NY Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich has a nice crunch and sauce. Bun to patty ratio is great and it taste good. It was supposed to be like a NYC cafe but turned out to be more of a high-end restaurant when it got here. If you just want to have a coffee break, this is not the place for that. Nice branding but a way too hyped up...
Read moreI’ve been a regular at Dean & DeLuca, but this was the first time I left disappointed — and it wasn’t because of the food. Their front person, Jezzell, was incredibly unpleasant to deal with.
We asked to sit at the normal tables, but she kept insisting that only the high tables were available. Mind you, I could see that some tables could easily be moved and combined. After a long, tiring drive — and dealing with back pain — the last thing I needed was to be forced into an uncomfortable high chair. Dean & DeLuca is not a fast-food chain; we’re paying a premium and expect hospitality, not excuses.
Yes, she eventually accommodated our request, but she did so while nagdadabog, with a sour face the entire time. That kind of behavior is unprofessional, and frankly, insulting to loyal patrons. Service should never feel like a burden, especially in a place that prides itself on...
