Watami Fairview terraces failed big time. Ambiance: Plays a very loud american music. Servers talk with each other a lot instead of focusing on their guests. Cleanliness: Our table has 1 small fly and 2 baby flies. Service: My food was not served. It was just placed on our table. Food: The rice is not well cooked. I can see how uneven the cooking was. Also, it is cold and tasted stale. The images in the menu are not the same as what I received. My pork Katsu is very thin and dry. I had a very small portion of the chewy Gyudon. The salmon nigiri appeared to just come out from the fridge; not freshly made. The only thing that is ok is the beer (which i can have at home).
Years before, I bring my Japanese friends in your restaurant because I expected authentic and quality Japanese food, but based on how you've handled my concern wherein you did not even confirmed or clarified if this is already the type of food you are serving, I think I can say that Watami is not an authentic place for Japanese food. Please stop ruining Japanese food. Just stop your operation if this will just lead to disrespecting a culture.
By the way. When you are to apeace a customer, don't just call anytime. Please properly set an appointment and wait for a confirmation. Also, be quick to attend and provide proper resolutions... maybe convince us of your restaurant's ikigai or if you...
Read moreWatami offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious fare and generous portions. During my visit, I found the food to be excellent, showcasing authentic flavors that satisfy the palate. The serving sizes are commendable, providing great value for money.
The ambiance at Watami is pleasant, though not overly remarkable. Our group was seated comfortably at a large table, ideal for six people, which enhanced our dining experience with its spaciousness.
Service was efficient, despite the challenge of catching the attention of waitstaff in this relatively new branch. Once attended to, however, the staff proved attentive and got our orders right on time, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal.
Overall, Watami offers a solid dining option for those looking to enjoy quality Japanese cuisine in a relaxed setting. Whether you're dining with friends or family, the combination of flavorful dishes and accommodating service makes Watami a...
Read moreNewly opened branch in Fairview Terraces that's straddled by Bistro Group favorites such as Italianni's, Modern Shang and Texas Roadhouse. The branch is aptly designed but bit cramped in space. The decorations and overall ambiance are fine and aligned with the theme.
Service could be better as getting a waiter/servers attention is challenging. We had an order that they failed to relay to the kitchen so that's another area for improvement. Despite those growing pains, the staff are very courteous, helpful, and approach each guest with a smile.
As for the food, their grilled sticks of various meats and treats are the real stars of the show. Try the Chicken Liver skewers - you won't be disappointed. Their Ebi Tempura is quite good too. Oh, and their house tea is lovely.
Overall, for the price of the food and experience, this may be on the higher end of the cost spectrum, but nevertheless still a good eat in...
