S&R New York Style Pizza — Restaurant in Quezon City

No photos, but I want to share my recent dine-in experience at this branch.

I visited on a Sunday around 6 PM.

Ordering – The line was very long. Only two counters were open, and there was an issue with an order from a previous customer, which caused only one counter to be available for about 10 minutes.

Serving of Food – It took forever! I usually stand while waiting for my food if I'm picking it up myself, and I can honestly say this wait was unusually long. Imagine my surprise when I saw my food sitting on top of the counter for quite a while. I think I noticed it as soon as I stood up, but no one called my number, so I didn't assume it was mine. I should have assumed and picked it up or followed up earlier!

Food – Everything I got was cold, and the soda had little to no ice because it had already melted. The fried chicken had zero crispiness, and the burger steak was either cold or at room temperature. The fries also took forever (because they kept serving them to other people, both dine-in and take-out orders). I had to come back since they needed to fry a new batch. By the way, I didn’t wait for the fries and left as soon as we were done eating. I didn’t want to wait any longer, and I assume fries take about 15 minutes to cook because that’s how long it took for us to finish our meal before leaving. Just to note, I didn’t hear our number called during that time, and I didn’t have the energy to wait and then be further disappointed by the food.

Restaurant – The place was very messy and not clean. I guess they were so busy with orders that many of the tables were left uncleaned. It was also fully packed; if I remember correctly, there were only two available tables when we came in. It was so loud, with both the people and the staff shouting order numbers. Overall, it wasn't a great visit.

You might say I should have followed up or spoken up, but I didn’t want to cause any inconvenience that night. It was clear they were busy, which I understand, but it led to a low standard of food and service. It’s also not my personality to be vocal or demanding about things like this. I hope they can improve their process during rush hours because customers aren’t getting the quality of food...

This review is about improving them, not canceling them.

Today was our 4th anniversary, my partner and I decided to eat here in S&R FT, and we include All Meat Pasta in our order. It was the most terrible of all pasta that we ever taste. I'm aware of Italian sauce because I'm a college graduate and F&B was included in my certificate, I cook spaghetti at home, and our chef in my working place cooks Italian Spaghetti (meat, and plant based) at least twice a week in the afternoon. I ask the cashier if they use canned tomato in the pasta, they ask each other and they denied it and said they are not allowed to disclose any information on how they make it. They keep explaining that the Italian sauce taste was supposed like that which is sour, but based on our experience, it tasted like excessive water from above 3 years of canned tomato. I tried to squeeze the pasta, and the water separates from the sauce, the taste was terrible and we definitely lose our appetite, imagine tap water becoming bitter after many years of living in the can. The smell was somewhat foul and like really intoxicating. I also wondered if they use Italian sauce, why all of our pasta is broken into tiny pieces? I'm so disappointed because I thought they serve fresh food since they have a salad, it was supposed a happy day. I'm not saying that I will never come back here again, I love their pizza and chicken burger.

I also ordered fries last time here, some are almost burned, and most of them are dark brown, very bland and tasteless, oily, and sand...

It's because we waited 1 hour for 1 stuffed crust pizza, and yet we received it was just an air stuffed pizza with very minimal cheese , we dont even recognize the cheese on it , cashier name M delos reyes was soo arrogant it seems shes not happy doing her job. Also when we asked for an additional rice, thier responded us to wait for additional 30 mins (huwat????) Just for the rice ? Imagine its not a closing time pa.. there was no manager in action. We dine with kids also , the ling time of waiting made them very hyper ... ambience was hot only electric fan was provided..

Sorry guys there are lots of competitors out there you should serve well . .
