I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Nikkei Robata, and I cannot thank the team enough for making it such a memorable and heartwarming experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with such warmth and professionalism that I immediately knew the night was going to be special.
A very special thank you to Eugine and Gio, who truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Eugine handled my request with genuine care and thoughtfulness his attention to detail and willingness to accommodate made me feel incredibly valued. It’s rare to find a manager who not only listens but puts in the effort to turn a simple request into a beautiful experience.
Gio, on the other hand, was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire evening. His service was flawless always present when needed, never intrusive, and full of positive energy that added so much to the atmosphere. It’s clear that both Eugine and Gio take immense pride in what they do, and that’s reflected in the exceptional guest experience they help create.
One of the highlights of the evening was when the staff came out to sing happy birthday. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that completely made my night. The team’s energy, smiles, and sincerity made the moment feel so personal and genuine it’s something I’ll always remember.
Of course, the food was absolutely outstanding as always! Every dish was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and full of rich, vibrant flavors. Nikkei Robata consistently delivers on both quality and creativity, and this visit was no exception.
The atmosphere at the restaurant is warm, modern, and welcoming perfect for a celebration or even a casual night out. It strikes the perfect balance between upscale dining and relaxed comfort, making it a go-to spot for any occasion.
To the entire team at Nikkei Robata thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my birthday so special. And to Eugine and Gio in particular, your kindness and dedication truly set this restaurant apart. I’m incredibly grateful and can’t wait to come back again soon.
Highly, highly...
Read moreMy daughter and I love the restaurant Terraza Martinez. We wanted to visit another restaurant from the group and went to Nikkei Uptown Ritz for japanese yesterday. We were seated on a large table, cause wer ordered couple of things. When the Black Cod arrived it was just like half of the portion. Absolutely different than from the picture from the menu. I asked the waitress why it's so small and she just replied it's like just like that. I thoght "OK" let's go from here! Not another "OK"... When we ordered the desserts, my daughter ordered the matcha truffel strawberries and I orderede the chocolate cake. When the matcha strawberries dessert arrived I asked the manager of the restaurant where the strawberries are?? He said that the cook just told him they didn't have strawberries but I could have frozen ones if I wish. I told him why don't you ask first the customer before creating a dessert without a main igredient?? I asked him if he didn't study the menu and if he didn't know what he was serving?? He just smiled and said "sorry mam, sorry po". I said so you just thought I wouldn't notice that it didn't have strawberries and charge me the normal price right? and he said yes mam...I said don't do this again! I told him that we didn't want this dessert and instead my daughter will take the chocolate cake. As I understand tagalog I heard how everybody from the staff asked the manager what I said. They were discussing this matter officially infront of the guests!! Anyway it showed me that no matter how good the food in a restaurant can be, if the staff is unprofessional to communicate matters and just ignore important information, this restaurant is just one third as good as it probably could be!! The staff matters specially in every hospitality industry!! I paid for my daughter and me over 5k. Nobody deserved to be ripped-off!! No information about the all-of-a-sudden smaller size of the fish that costs 1250 Pesos nor about the fresh strawberries!! Damn!! Staff go back to school and focus in communication and...
Read moreWe reserved a table online at around 4pm for 6:30pm on the same day. When we got there, the receptionist looked very confused; she hadn't checked and accounted for reservations before we arrived. It was pretty inefficient, almost as if we didn't reserve a table to begin with.
I ticked the special occasion "anniversary" on their reservation form since my boyfriend and I were celebrating our 3rd anniv, but we weren't offered anything related to that option so I might as well not have declared that in the form. I have no idea why they even asked for it.
Service was good, I didn't have a hard time getting their attention since they were always on top of collecting our finished plates and refilling our glasses with water. I appreciated the complementary chips with aioli dip. Place is kinda small, felt a bit too crowded for my liking so it was hard to relax.
What the other reviews don't tell you though, is that the serving sizes are really small. Had I known, I would have gone elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, the food tastes great, but the cost vs. amount was not worth it, especially for the steak. It cost 1.4k and it wasn't even enough for 1 person.
The only real saving grace was the kushiyaki. Seafood was fresh, and we were also given an extra ebi skewer with our assorted platter—I only expected 1 since that's what the menu said. The kurobuta pork belly made the 850 price tag justifiable. The sweet tamagoyaki was a good palate cleanser too. The mille crepe cake they had was matcha-flavored; this one also tasted good but it was kind of small for the price. (380 php)
The alcohol (aperol spritz) and the miso salmon roll were nothing to write home about, honestly.
All in all, I don't really recommend this place unless they have a promo of some sorts or if you just want to go for the experience since it's a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant. Maybe we should have gotten the donburi instead. It's just unfortunate that we dropped almost 4k on our dinner but didn't feel full by...
