4 yrs ago: We had a small get together last night to celebrate me and my mom's birthday. It wasn't a buffet setup per se due to GCQ. It was sit down dinner but you get to choose from their very limited menu. There were no Japanese, Korean or Mediterranean food selections. They only had 2 kinds of salad, 3 soups, 4 Filipino dishes, a few pasta items, 1 kind of steak, 2 kinds of Indian food, and the rest was Chinese food. There were also sandwiches from the menu which we didn't order at all. Some of our orders wasn't even served because they ran out. But we were there at exactly 6pm. How could they ran out that early? Few desserts were good especially the lemon meringue pie and brownie. The puff pastry of the apple streusel was kinda dry and chewy. They only had vanilla soft-serve ice cream...so sad. The fruits in a shot glass wasn't even sweet and the fruit juices was not cold. Overall, food was average compared to other hotel buffets I've been to...but the ambience was really great.

January 2025: After four long years, I decided it was time to revisit this buffet spot, hoping for a delightful experience. My journey began with the sushi, which was...just okay. Next up was the shrimp tempura, but unfortunately, it fell flat—small, limp, and distinctly oily. The Beef Rendang promised a burst of flavor but instead delivered a somewhat bland experience, lacking both spice and the rich, deep sauce I was craving.

Moving on to the Lechon Paksiw, I found it oddly sweet, but the tangy sourness from the vinegar, laurel leaves, and peppercorns seemed to be missing in action. The highlight of the meal, however, was the Braised Beef, which was incredibly soft and full of flavor—definitely a dish I enjoyed! The pork loin was bland without the peppercorn sauce.

Then came the Tteokbokki. It was a curious creation: sweet but oddly unbalanced, missing the savory and tangy notes that usually tie this dish together. The Crispy Pork Belly, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Sautéed Garlic Bok Choy were all rather ordinary and didn’t really stand out.

On a brighter note, I couldn’t resist the fruits; they were delightfully sweet! And I have to say, the miniature cakes were a pleasant surprise—definitely a sweet ending to an otherwise mixed experience.

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The buffet has a wide selection of food. From meats with barbeque and wagyu, a salad station with numerous greens and sauces, desserts ranging from fruits, ice cream, your own customized halo halo, and mini pastries. Japanese sushi, maki, chirashi, and tempura. Fish and chips or fries.

I started with the beef brisket, barbequed pork and wagyu. The beef brisket melts in you mouth and had a wonderful sauce. The pork barbeque was fatty and soft as well. Finally the wagyu was soft, juicy and savory. The wagyu was only slightly seasoned, but there are numerous sauces you can dip it to take it to the next level.

I made my custom salad next using two types of lettuce, some carrots, cucumber, bell peppers, red onions, cheese, drizzled with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I was impressed with the cheese provided here as it gave a sharp flavor to the quite acidic salad i made.

I headed to the charcuterie station next. Not a wide selection though. There were only two types of meat which was a chicken ham and salami. The cheeses were very good though. They even had some blue cheese which was very sharp. But the cheddar was my fave.

I already getting full so my last station was the ice cream station. Soft vanilla ice cream where you choose from numerous toppings. I simply topped mine with chocolate and red berries.

I was too full to try the other cuisines. So, i simply took pictures of them. Honestly, other buffets have a wider selection through different cuisines but those are much more expensive. The food here was all good. Nothing was below par. All meats were soft and savory. The salad station was great. Plus the ambience is great. From the lobby all the way to the diner. Service is also really great from the servers. All were ready to pick up your finished plate, refill your glass and offer food that are specially made for you or made to order.

Had a great time, thanks for making my wife's birthday a...

We recently indulged in a delightful lunch at the famed Grand Kitchen in Grand Hyatt Manila, and it was a feast worth remembering. While the buffet selection isn’t vast, every dish speaks of quality and care.

🥩 Star of the Show: Beef Wellington This luxurious centerpiece is only served during lunch, which explains its premium rate. Perfectly cooked and elegantly presented, it’s a must-try for any first-time guest.

🐟 Steamed Emperor’s Fish Served with your choice of sweet chili or soy garlic sauce—I tried both and couldn’t pick a favorite. Each brought out the delicate flavor of the fish beautifully.

🍛 Lamb Biryani & Vegetable Curry The biryani stood out with its rich spices and tender lamb, while the vegetable curry offered a comforting balance. Both are excellent choices for those craving bold flavors.

🦆 Roast Duck One of my personal favorites. However, I do wish they offered plum sauce instead of hoisin, which alters the flavor profile in a way I didn’t enjoy.

🥗 Salads & Sips The salad bar was fresh and satisfying, and the mango chamomile tea was a relaxing companion throughout the meal.

🍨 Desserts & Ube Delight The strawberry tart was lovely, but the tiramisu leaned too sweet for my taste and had whipped cream instead of mascarpone. Pro tip: scoop up some ube ice cream and head to the halo-halo station—double ube, double joy!

🍢 Kebab Corner The squid and beef kebabs were spot on—flavorful and juicy. The chicken kebab, however, was dry and could use improvement.

🚻 Room for Improvement The toilet facilities need attention; both cubicles were clogged during our visit. Also, some tiles near the kebab station were quite slippery—worth noting for safety.

🌟 Ambiance & Overall Experience The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a leisurely lunch. Despite a few hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Happy tummy, happy heart—we’ll...
