I booked a table for 4 (outside) with a view for my daughter’s 18th bday celebration (Jan 21, 2024). It was originally booked at 5:30pm but because they don’t have available table to accommodate us, they texted me if it’s ok to be scheduled for 2nd seating at 8:30pm. I agreed knowing that we’ll have a better table around the time and even if it’s late, we really don’t mind as we live just down the block. So, come 8:30 - we were told that there’s no available outside table yet so they asked us to be seated inside the table by the window and we’ll just transfer once the table outside (pointing at the corner table) becomes available. So we waited, only to see people who just came in taking over the table that were supposed to be for us. Long story short, they transferred us to a very tight area on the other side of the deck and we can’t barely fit in there, we were at a table that should only be for 2-3 people max, also the wood planks by where the table at is moving everytime someone walks by so that’s so annoying and scary at the same time. Needless to say, that reservation table debacle didn’t make a good impression at all. Also, before we were transferred outside, we were asked are we celebrating tonight? I told them it’s my daughter’s 18th bday, so I thought there’s gonna be some sort of celebratory gesture ya know?. Well, unfortunately - there’s NONE! It’s either they forgot about it or didn’t listen to what I’ve told them about getting a slice of cake for my daughter’s bday. Na-Da! Not even a slice of bread! Oh and by the way, speaking of bread, you can tell the service was so crappy that they gave us butter but forgot the bread?! My sarcastic husband who was already in a bad mood about the whole situation couldn’t help it so he asked the lady what’s the butter for? Didnt give us bread so the butter is useless. Also they put so much utensils like 5! And I’m laughing coz why would I be using 5 utensils again? Lol I’m seriously about to just call it a day and go elsewhere with what’s happening but I didn’t want to spoil the night for my daughter. The food was good (for the most part), we ordered a bunch of desserts, burgers, fries, french onion soup, salad, mac and cheese, crab cakes - more like appetizers and desserts because we weren’t feeling the vibe but already hungry and not angry enough to leave. Although we’re starting to blame each other for choosing this place (we’ve had way better experience elsewhere) I’m not saying this place is overrated but I don’t know…the view isn’t really it coz it’s covered by railings and glass window that isn’t cleaned so the video and pics we took looks blurry. Anyways, after we ate, we went to the peak bar where we ordered drinks and I honestly like the vibe there comparatively. I hope my daughter had a blast coz I sure ain’t happy about going there. Overall, food is ok, view is ok, customer service (not so sure). Will I go again? Probably not! But my husband says - maybe? Just to eat...

I had never been to The Peak before, I chose this restaurant to celebrate our 7th Anniversary.
My Wife is a strict Vegetarian (No Meat, Seafood, Egg or Broths). I was glad to see that they had Vegetarian and even Vegan options on their menu. Before making the reservation, I made a call and asked about these Vegetarian items I was told that they didn't contain any broth or meat products. The reservation process was handled very professionally, I was sent a confirmation by text message and even a reminder on the day of. They even asked if we were celebrating anything, and I informed them that it was our anniversary.
Upon arrival at the Hotel, the first thing you notice is how nice the lobby is. Staff is also well trained and greets you warmly. We reached the desk of The Peak at the lobby, we informed them of our reservation and we were assisted to the elevator and sent up to the 60th floor. I wasn't even aware it was this high up, so first thing I thought was this would be a great view. We were greeted upon exiting the elevator and taken to our table. It was a nice private nook with just one more other table, but the first thing I noticed was the lack of windows all around the place. No views, so why have it so high up? The nook itself was cozy, but it would have been much nicer with floor to ceiling windows.
We were greeted by our server, a few minutes later we placed our orders. We got the Burrata to start, our server recommended the Tiger Prawns for me and my wife ordered the Risotto. We informed the server that she was a vegetarian, she then informed us that the mushrooms on top of the Risotto is sauteed in beef fat. But it's clearly marked vegetarian on the menu. They offered to substitute this with Asparagus sauteed in butter, but this was after an unnecessary back and forth which took more time than needed.
The worst thing was, they offer sauteed mushrooms as a side which is marked VEGAN, but this is sauteed in the same beef fat. How is that VEGAN? Anyway, it didn't take a lot of time for our dinner to be served, in fact we thought that they forgot our appetizer, but it was served at the same time as our mains. The prawns were just ok, the Risotto and Burrata were very good. We ordered the homemade iced tea which tasted like lemonade and had no hint of tea, this took more than 15 minutes and we thought it was forgotten by the server.
After dinner we were presented with a complimentary cake for our anniversary. The whole experience took just over an hour, it felt very rushed, almost like fast food. We hadn't even asked for the bill and the server already asked if she could present it. We asked to see the view and were guided to a door that leads to the al fresco area which is not being used. Such a waste.
I wouldn't come back here, I wouldn't...

Great food and wonderful views at 60th floor but awful service. You would expect that a brand like Hyatt would deal with these matters in a much better way. When I made a reservation, the one who took my call offered for me to sign up to The World of Hyatt membership to avail of a 10% discount. So I did just that. It was my Dad’s 72nd birthday and everything was going as planned (everyone got the signature menu and enjoying the food and the views). Upon getting the bill, we said that my brother and father has PWD and senior discount cards. The waiter Kyle said that we cannot apply the World of Hyatt and PWD discount together, so we said, that’s okay, just separate what they ordered and apply the government discount there. He said that since people from our table already availed of the government discount, the rest of the group can no longer get the World of Hyatt discount. This confused us a lot and asked for the manager. Joyce, came in and said the same thing. Insisting that we cannot double dip on the discount and told us that she will show us the terms and conditions (which she never showed). We are not trying to apply both discounts - we insisted. Manager Joyce insisted that we cannot split bills nor claim we are separate groups in the billing to pay and apply the doscounts properly. We went back and forth with her. It was very frustrating. Her tone was like we are trying to take advantage of Hyatt’s discount and trying to dupe Hyatt.
First of all, you offered that membership and the discount but you were not clear on the discount terms. Second, by law, seniors and PWD can elect to choose their discount and this should not affect the discount that the other members of the group would enjoy. Third, I cannot believe a five star hotel brand like Hyatt squabbled over 10% - for guests celebrating their birthday and ordered generously. We cannot accept how their tone was as if we were taking advantage of Hyatt for what we felt was quite standard way of applying government discount and other promotions in a large group. We had a group of 20+ people in Okada buffet 2 weeks ago with multiple senior cards and trying to apply BPI credit card discount. The staff was very helpful and helped us maximize all our discounts. This is the opposite of that!
When it was taking them so long, we asked for our bill again and we were told Joyce was talking to another Manager regarding this matter. We were very exhausted and wanted to go home already.
After a very very long wait, they came back and did just as we said - applied the discount to the two with government cards and the rest with world of Hyatt discount.
That World of Hyatt membership is so not worth it if you will go thru the hassle...
