Elephant Club nad Motławą — Restaurant in Gdansk

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE IN ALL GDANSK!!!!

Please don't go to this restaurant if you want to be happy and not have your day ruined. There are so many other good places with fantastic costumer service by the Motlawa river (Billy's, Kubicki etc.). The waitress we had was so rude and arrogant which ruined the whole visit for us. Barely said good day or good bye. Bumped into our chair without saying sorry. Starrying at us all the time like we were stupid. Ordering felt like we were bothering her giving us "the evil eye". The same look when I was trying to pay and when we left the restaurant I almost felt some unpleasant feeling of unhappiness because of how those waitresses were treating us. An aweful experience!

I have been living in Gdansk for over 8 years and have almost been to every restaurant in the central part and old town so I have a very good experience regarding restaurants and I know what I am talking about.

PLEASE AVOID AND SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF...

It's difficult to know where to start. Cute, warm, comfortable little bar with a covered garden on the other side of the building. Friendly, informative, everything you would expect from smart young business owners. And then there's the food. We had pierogi, and they were happy to split & mix portions so we could try their more exotic offerings. For both of us, it was a first - cod pierogi with a white sauce which we finished with spoons after the pierogi were gone. Duck pierogi with a cranberry sauce - slightly less novel but wonderfully tasty, which also went well with the white sauce. Later, as our appetites recovered, we shared a burger which was way better than a lot of steaks I've had. Prices on the reasonable side of midrange,...

Even the current 3.8/5 is way too much for this restaurant.

I would recommend to stay away from this restaurant if you're looking to eat. For drinks only it's probably passable at best.

We had the classic burger with fries. The buns were dry and stale, the beef patty was overcooked and the burger lacked taste. The fries weren't better as they were unsalted, a little undercooked and lacked any sauce to eat them with.

The terrace wasn't even full of people, but the wait time for the food was quite long. Tables weren't cleaned or wiped down between guests, only the plates were taken away. The waiter didn't even come and check up on us, as he clearly had too many customers to handle.

For this price you can find much better...
