FIKKA BAR — Restaurant in Gdansk

The interior is really cute, but unfortunately, the food and service didn’t live up to the atmosphere. We arrived about 15 minutes before the kitchen opened, which was fine, we didn’t mind waiting. However, once the kitchen started operating, it took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. What made it worse was seeing another table, who came after us, get their meals faster. I ordered the risotto, which was honestly impossible to eat. When I mentioned this to the waiter, I was told, “It should be this way.” I’ve been to Italy, and no, risotto rice should not be like that. I tried to eat a bit since I was starving, but it was just too bad. We left five minutes after the food came. We also asked for water but never received it. Cute place, but sadly, the food and service really weren’t it

*we went yesterday at 14:15. Even after I mentioned that the food wasn’t okay, the waiter didn’t offer to replace it or suggest any solution. I was so hungry that I couldn’t even be more assertive at that point. I regret paying for that meal. The coffee was good though, that’s the only positive...

I don't usually leave reviews but this one deserves it. It started off unpleasant as the floor manager was yelling at us across the restaurant not to sit in certain table. Maybe he was stressed because the restaurant was packed. He could have informed us in a politer manner. We waited 1 hour for the starters and and 1 hour and half for food. The food was delicious 10/10. The hat girl and the wine guy with mustache were kind and attentive.

After we finished eating, a waiter came in and asked "would you like to pay by cash or card)!

We still hadn't finished our drinks and I think the next reservation is up for the table.

I guess we just got kicked out and they were late for serving out food. It was not nice.

The 3 glasses of wine we had were on the house because of the delay and the kick out I guess.

So stylish, loved the design The food was very tasty but over salted - I had a baked cabbage and bread with creamy butter. The creamy butter was very interesting, tasted like something between whipped cream and butter (however it was also over salted). Maybe it would be wiser to put less salt in the dishes and put the salt and pepper on the table so the guests can decide by themselves? The service was good , but the waiters had their friends visiting and they were talking with them next to me and also talking about them having free cocktails. I mean, it’s ok to give whatever to friends but maybe do not talk about it loud that customers can hear You especially as they pay 30 zł for the same cocktail, it’s a bit awkward. I was waiting veeeery long for the food, and the restaurant was not...
