We celebrated birthday in a bigger group there yesterday. Food was simply amazing, we tried many things on the menu from wild-boar stake to risotto, pierogi and sea food soup but I cannot even tell which one was the best, they all were fabulous. I need to mention the service, the waiter knew his wines, his recommendations were very good and I am happy he kept negotiating pairing my main with the main course, it worked so well. He was also very attentive, we had a few people from Switzerland, they had many questions and he answered them all patiently. Also, probably the only restaurant in Gdansk which seems to read booking notes, as they remembered about a small birthday gesture we asked for. I would go back although I must say the lower level room has relatively bright light and it did not feel maybe extremely cosy, the whole atmosphere was so nice, food and service was so good we actually stopped paying attention to it. Thank you again...
Read moreI had a wonderful dinner here with my wife. The restaurant is charming, with a red rustic interior and good music playing. The lighting is a bit strange/intense on the upstairs serving area, but it's very cozy nonetheless. The food was prepared reasonably fast, and the waiter gave us some good recommendations on wine to pair with our food. We both ordered steaks, which came beautifully presented. I wanted my medium rare, so I was disappointed when the steak turned out to be gray, with only a hint of pink when I cut the first bite. Before sending it back, I took another cut to be sure, and to my relief it was red, beautiful and very tasty. Phew! Despite the disappointing first bite, we also got some fresh bread, with home made spring onion oil, and a free "dessert shot" made form home made raspberry syrup and some spirit I don't remember, and this pushes the experience...
Read moreThis restaurant on Mariacka street is located in the center of old town in Gdańsk. It’s not so spacious, but cosy and definitely worth your visit. We have had a soup of the day, which was really good, a duck with cranberry sauce and lamb with potato gratin. All the dishes were fresh, nicely cooked and delicious! The wine menu also offers a broad collection of wines. We also got some complementary smacks and drinks, which was very pleasant:) the service was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this place for your lunch or dinner, while in Gdańsk. Although the prices are higher, that usual in Poland, I‘m willing to pay some more for such an experience. This place is not your typical touristic restaurant in the center, it‘s a true gem and we would gladly come back. I would recommend booking the table, if you plan your dinner at this restaurant, especially on...
