Great fish and chips....horrible attitude! We tried to get a table yesterday and were yelled at..."no. Sorry......NO" NO HELLO. NO SMILE. no apology. Just a snapped NO...SORRY....NO. we returned today to give them another chance as we have understood the polish are not a friendly people at all.... We were told quite curtly that they open "for one hour" . What she meant was IN an hour so we returned. The fish and chips were wonderful. The chips fresh and crispy. The fish fresh and beautiful. Our waitress was very nice and gave good service. They charge for ketchup !!!!!! (Where on earth do they do that??!!!) We have spent 3 lovely days in Gdansk and can honestly say it's beautiful and quaint but the truth is the people are really not friendly. We had dinner here and found plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which was nice and comfortable.

To start, we had the herring in oil — simple but well-prepared, served with bread. For the main course, we ordered cod and halibut. Just a heads-up: side dishes aren’t included with the fish and must be ordered separately, which is good to know in advance.

The food itself was tasty and well-cooked — no complaints there. However, the service left a bit to be desired. The staff didn’t check in on us during the meal or clear the plates afterward, and I had to walk over to request the bill myself.

We found this place on the internet and we decided to go there because of good reviews, even though it was a bit far from where we were. When we entered I saw and heard that one lady was asking for a bill. Nonetheless waitress who approached us said there's no space. On my question about that table, that it seems they are leaving, she said just a short, rude "No." She didn't give us any reason and didn't let us wait for a table.
