Rōnin Japanese Cuisine - Izakaya and Ramen bar — Restaurant in Katowice

This is my first 1 star review in my life if I am not remembering wrongly. Terrible experience! Honestly, don’t waste your time here.

When we came in, there were barely any customers. The waitress told us ramen was sold out, so I asked if they had rice — she said YES, there was rice and udon. So we ordered two rice dishes and one fried udon, and clearly asked her to serve everything together. She said okay.

Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Nearly 50 mins - one whole hour, and remember, the restaurant was almost empty! People who came after us got their food first and were already eating while we were still waiting. When we finally asked, the waitress said, “They’re cooking the rice, it’ll be ready in 2–5 minutes.” Seriously??!! So you start cooking rice after customers order it? And during that whole hour, nobody bothered to come over and explain or apologize.

That same waitress kept going outside to chat and smoke with some guys, instead of checking on customers. Totally unprofessional and careless.

When the food finally came, it didn’t even come together — one dish, then another after a few minutes, then another ten minutes after that.

And the food itself? Salty, salty and salty. Absolutely not worth the wait. When we finally went to pay, the same waitress struggled to pick up our receipt with her very long pink nails.

I don't think this place is worth the prices it asks. At all.

We came in, the service was quick and the lady was attentive. We ordered some shrimps in tempura for 38zł.

The bowl had 2 shrimps, and the rest was vegetables. At this point it felt a little bit underwhelming, but I was hopeful that the main course would leave me with a better aftertaste

My girlfriend had some Japanese schabowy with rice, which I have to say tasted quite well.

I got the sweet and sour Udon with Shrimps. The whole bowl had 4 medium sized shrimps.(for almost 50zł mind you)

It's not like the pasta rehabilitated the experience either. Super underwhelming...

To give the whole restaurant a fair opinion, I decided to order dessert as well. We bought Mochi and Dorayaki.

The Dorayaki pancakes were nice, but the Mochi was a perfect summary of my whole experience.

12zł for a single Mochi cut in half. I don't think this requires further comment.

Overall, there is so many better places in Katowice to go to that I don't think this one deserves...

Many things were wrong. We ordered dishes in the amount of two and same dishes weren’t coming at the same time, it came much after and same dish was in different portion and different ingredients After an hour of waiting, we still didn’t get all the dishes we ordered. Only a very few came When ordering, the waitress told us there was no ramen at all. Such thing should have been notified in advance instead they waited until we are ordering already which we had taken time into consideration of what to get The price was way overpriced. Four small pieces of tofu and 5-6 pieces of beef costed almost 60 pln. And the second one didnt even have tofu. Again, another dish ran out after we had ordered and waited for more than 30 mins already. Even beers didn’t came at the same time which was the same beer Food flavor is off and not Japanese at all
