Tasty ice-cream, but I don't know why people queue up so long for it.
Like most tourists, I had read about this place online as having "the best ice-cream in Kraków" and as someone who loves icy desserts, of course I was curious. I walked by twice and kept walking because the line was down the block. I may love sweets, but I pretty much refuse to stand in line for snacks like this on principle.
But I will say, almost every single ice-cream shop in Kraków had long queues those days as the weather was hot and lovely and Polish people seem to love their ice cream!
Then one day, it was colder and that is the trick to coming here! If it's below 5°C, there will only be a few people ahead of you at any given time.
So I tried the raspberry and coffee. Both were pretty good. Smooth, lots of flavour in the raspberry! The coffee wasn't as amazing, but I disagree with other reviewers that it had a bad texture. The beans are ground so fine that you can't even tell.
Overall, it was a good dessert, but I wouldn't wait more than 5...
Read moreAs I person who live in krakow , let me explain what I am thinking about here I see endless line in front of the place every weekend and I finally decided to try it. I went to there on weekdays and it was zero queue 😂 it’s first recommendation Second of all it’s tasty okey but I wouldn’t wait for this queue The difference is you can feel the real ingredients inside of the ice cream. It’s really different than other ice creams It cannot be liked from everyone maybe because it’s really intense For example strawberry , you even feel the little sour notes in it Pistachio was good but it was really intense as well. You are like eating pistachio Price is lower than most of the places It’s the another good thing Overall, I can understand why people choose here but it’s a bit exaggerated to wait this...
Read moreTraditional recipe ice cream in Krakow, very popular among locals that is why there are always long queues there. I’d call it a taste of childhood as it tastes like from old times. They always have the same tastes but they all are really good, my favourite is wild strawberry (poziomka) as it is probably the only place in Krakow you can find this taste and you can feel it is made from the real berries. This year they finally started accepting credit cards so it is a big improvement. Atmosphere is like from soviet times, a little bit nostalgic. Definitely must try ice cream if you are in Krakow. It’s better to come in the middle of working day or in the morning on weekend to avoid...
