I don’t recommend this place to anyone. A man, probably a waiter, tall, around 40-45 years old, started speaking to me in Russian and saying, “Leave.” I grew up in Turkey, so I sensed a hint of racism in his behavior. He was forcing me away from the entrance. I strongly advise avoiding this place. The service in Kraków is much more pleasant, and the restaurants are much better—at least no staff member will kick you out just for simply standing there.
This place should hire kinder staff who know how to communicate respectfully with people
Next time, at least hire people who don’t assume that everyone speaking a Slavic language is a visitor from Ukraine or some other country. I hope they open their eyes and realize that there are people who speak multiple languages.
I understand that working in the food service industry and customer service is not easy, and that being a waiter at your 40s might be a bit frustrating. But please, if something in your life didn’t work out, don’t take your anger out on other people.
As someone who has lived in the city center for a long time, I can confidently say that this place definitely wins the award for “Most toxic staff...
Read moreThe food wasn't bad, but was definitely not worth the high price. I expected a 60zl/15 euro dish, not a taste from a canteen/Bar Mleczny. Meat in every single dish was extremely dry (overcooked): duck, burger and gulash. The fries were fried on old oil and were fatty. We chose the place because of the live Klezmer music (supposedly). Of course, no one expected the band to play all afternoon non-stoo. We thought it would be the typical 20-30 minutes play and similar break. Instead, they played maybe 5 songs in 1,5h with frequent breaks, discussions with cursing in front of the child and the band was far from good (unfortunately). Nothing in this place matched their prices. There would be no issue if the meals were half price (although we wouldn't go back because of the flavour)....
Read moreI had an amazing experience at Ester in the heart of Krakow's Jewish Quarter. The atmosphere was cozy and full of character, perfectly capturing the spirit of the area. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. What really stood out, though, was the service.
Everyone was welcoming and attentive, and the bartender in particular was really cool — friendly, knowledgeable, and made some fantastic drinks that perfectly complemented the meal. A true gem of a place that I would highly recommend to anyone...
