If KrakĂłw street food had a monarchy, Andrus would be the slightly rebellious prince who shows up late to family dinners, smells like smoked pork, and still gets all the compliments. This place knows its maczanka, and itâs not here to play.
I had two glorious porky beasts:
⢠One with bacon and horseradish sauce, which slapped me awake like a Polish grandma with opinions. ⢠The other with smoked oscypek and Cumberland sauce, which tasted like a mountain picnic crashed by a British diplomat with a jam obsession.
Both were juicy, saucy, and wrapped in bread that didnât disintegrate like a soggy napkin. This was bread with backbone, bread thatâs seen things.
Service? Friendly, efficient, and no weird small talk. Drinks? The On Lemon sodas are criminally underrated. Get the pear and plum flavors unless you hate joy.
Atmosphere? Street, literally. Youâre sitting almost on the sidewalk, watching tourists roll by while your sandwich tries to escape its bun. Itâs casual, itâs chaotic, itâs KrakĂłw.
Prices are fair, the vibe is chill, and the seasoning is so on point it could probably win a local election. If youâre near Sienna and craving something that tastes like KrakĂłw but parties like Brooklyn,...
Read moreSaw good reviews for the other Andrus location. We decided to go to this location because it was closer. Turns out we should have traveled because the service and attitude of the blonde woman taking orders was terrible. We first decided to take our sandwich to go because the restaurant was full. After waiting a few minutes tables became available so my husband went up to her and said we are actually going to eat here instead. She sighed and looked irritated. We didnât think it putting our sandwich in a bowl compared to a bag would be much more work - but apparently it was for her. When she came to give us our food she threw it down on our table. I saw other reviews talking about this girl. Iâm not sure why they would keep her around as employee if she keeps getting this location bad reviews. The food was great - but unfortunately wonât be back. I canât support a business that employs...
Read moreFound this place on a reddit thread, locals advised it, the only place in the center of the city. And boy were they right. This was AMAZING, one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. Its not overpriced in my opinion (I'm italian), cause you get 400 and more grams of meat for the equivalent of 8-10 euros (32 to 41 szloty). The meat is tender, the sauces are super (we tried horseradish and mustard-pickle) and the beer pairs SO WELL with the sandwich. The service 10/10, they agreed to every request and gave us every info we asked, kind and polite. Thank you for one of the few, if not the only, authentic...
