Katanè — Restaurant in Krakow

(ITA) Gelato artificiale di infima qualità, evidente l'uso aggressivo di additivi/coloranti/addensanti. Non sto a dilungarmi perché sono sicuro abbiate capito. L'appropriazione dell'aggettivo "siciliano" è ai limiti della criminalità. L'ho buttato dopo due cucchiaiate.

(ENG) I had never thrown away an ice cream before this. I wasn't really expecting Sicilian quality but this is plain inedible.

The non-milky flavours only have a vague hint of the advertised taste but it's very artificial, most likely not achieved with mainly fresh ingredients but through heavy reliance on chemical additives/thickeners/dyes; the texture is cloggy and not smooth even if the temperature is in the normal range.

Conclusion: there are industrial ice creams that do not claim "Sicilian" heritage and do a much better job than this. I would like to see their list of ingredients that complies with current regulations, just for...

I finally met with this café/ice cream shop/snack bar yesterday, and their spwcialitiss were able to drastically change my bad moods. I felt like I missed happiness, it was enough to get in @20.50 yesterday, drink a wonderful creamy espresso, eat a great cannolo siciliano and steal from my wife half of her ice cream to come back to a positive and happy condition. I loved it, simply loved it. It was an unexpected discover, a d actually I don't understand some of the comments left by people with origins from my same country. It must be hard to have such a good variety of specialities tasting simply Italian. REWELACJA, keep on going like this, I cannot wait the time to come back to Krakow...

I live nearby and tried all possible pastry. And I was very dissatisfied.Especially by Arancini (rice ball) with shrimp and Ragù and mushrooms all 3 of them were incredibly dry, not fresh and had almost no staffing (2 -3 micro shrimps,1 small meat in Ragù and only few mushrooms in the middle). Please change the recipe or leave it like that but change the name, it’s not how arancini is made.

And napkins are just a nightmare,they seem that they are made of plastic or so. You just make a mess with them.

Ice cream is good, hence some start added. Hope it is useful for your business. Cannoli is perfect....
