ONUTS — Restaurant in Krakow

Quite an experience!

This place is mainly about sweets but I went for a special occasion for dinner, when savoury dishes were served as well.

The place is tiny. Really. If wasn't for the few tables outside it would be impossible to sit. Service is super-friendly and warm. Don't expect to have a 4 stars experience at the table, it is rustic: I feel they are gearing up the table service.

Food is American/Korean, I suppose. Chicken wings were nice with plenty of both spiciness and sweetness. Nice pancakes. Great brioche (I don't know how to call it). Rice wine is an acquired taste. They occasionally have Korean BBQ events and would definitely love to try them. Prices are OK for the originality of the dishes (for Krakow at least). Please change the menus though, they are unintelligible.

Boston Cream donuts are my favorite and something I've missed a lot since moving from the US years ago.

I was thrilled when I saw that ONUTS made these and was not disappointed once I finally tried one today.

The donut I had from ONUTS was way better than those from Dunkin Donuts back in the States as it was actually made fresh with good ingredients. The sweetness level was just right with the cream filling and chocolate topping balancing each other and the filling was generous. Just perfect really. 👌

They state that they are open from 10 in the morning but when you come at opening time there is no selection of donuts :-/ We waited 40 minutes for donuts, which in the end was at the level of a supermarket. Do not recommend at all, they have room for improvement, in the conduct of the place...
