Gossip Cafe: Our Unmissable Krakow Brunch Spot!

For us, a trip to Krakow is simply incomplete without a visit to Gossip Cafe. It has become our absolute go-to spot for brunch, and for very good reason! Every single time, without fail, it delivers a delightful experience that keeps us coming back. Let's talk about the food – it's consistently exceptional. If you're an omelette fan, the one with goat cheese is an absolute must-try; it's simply delicious and a standout dish. But the culinary delights don't stop there. Their pancakes are the epitome of what pancakes should be: incredibly soft, wonderfully fluffy, and utterly delicious. The addition of forest fruit just takes them to another level of deliciousness, adding a perfect touch of freshness and sweetness. Even their oatmeal is noteworthy – it's so tasty and comforting, making it a perfect start to any day of exploring. Beyond the fantastic food, the atmosphere at Gossip Cafe is always welcoming. The people working there are genuinely friendly, always greeting you with a smile, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a brunch place in Krakow that consistently hits all the right notes – delicious food, variety, and warm service – Gossip Cafe is it. We can't recommend it highly enough; it's a gem that we look forward to visiting every time we're...

I had a very unpleasant experience at this café in Krakow, mainly because of the rude and aggressive behavior of one of the staff members named Alex.

When I walked in, I looked for a free table and chose one in the corner. As I was approaching it, the waiter suddenly started yelling “WOW” loudly several times, raising his hands as if I’d done something wrong. It was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating.

Another waiter came over right after and politely explained that they needed to check whether the table was reserved — which was completely understandable. He let us sit down.

What made the situation even more upsetting was that I noticed Alex treating other guests who did the same thing completely normally, without shouting or hostility. He looked angry and aggressive only toward me and my friend. As an Asian visitors, I couldn’t help but feel that his behavior might have been influenced by racism and prejudice.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but no guest deserves to be treated this way. Even if there are seating rules, respect and basic courtesy should always come first.

I hope the owner takes this seriously, as staff members represent not only the café but also the hospitality and image of the country. Respect and kindness should be the foundation of any customer...

A bit disappointed by our experience here. At first we were seated next to the coffee maker which made a lot of noise, luckily we could swap tables without a problem. The drinks arrived swiftly, but we waited for our food for a very long time. The table next to us, where the guests arrived way after us, had gotten their food already without the staff acknowledging we were still waiting. So we asked if our food was coming. The waiter went to check and when he came back he told us from across the table next to us that the food was coming. This was strange to us and in my opinion rude to the guests at the table next to us. Next, only one of the plates arrived and nothing was said about the other dish. It took so long my friend started to eat her food, otherwise it would turn cold. I again had to ask if my food was coming. Luckily it arrived soon after. The egg was very bland, other than that the bagel was nice. Waitress Kate was very friendly and responsive, the tall male waiter could...

Cute cafe and the staff were welcoming. Unfortunately, the food could have been better. We ordered a mocha and a flat white. The mocha was good (5/5) but the flat white was oversized. As someone who enjoys an espresso drink, the flat white really missed the mark and I didn't finish it (2/5) For food we ordered a goat cheese omelette and the pancakes. The pancakes were presented well surrounded by lots of whipped cream. They tasted good but the pancakes themselves were very small and the flavour profile was nothing extraordinary. (3/5) The omelette was also beautifully presented but they were overcooked and the dish was HUGE. There were too many competing flavours and the dish did not appear to be properly curated. We did not finish this dish. (2/5) I do think this place has good potential and maybe we got it on an off day. I would give it a second chance.
