Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at this café in Krakow, mainly because of the rude and aggressive behavior of one of the staff members named Alex.
When I walked in, I looked for a free table and chose one in the corner. As I was approaching it, the waiter suddenly started yelling “WOW” loudly several times, raising his hands as if I’d done something wrong. It was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating.
Another waiter came over right after and politely explained that they needed to check whether the table was reserved — which was completely understandable. He let us sit down.
What made the situation even more upsetting was that I noticed Alex treating other guests who did the same thing completely normally, without shouting or hostility. He looked angry and aggressive only toward me and my friend. As an Asian visitors, I couldn’t help but feel that his behavior might have been influenced by racism and prejudice.

The waiter went to check and when he came back he told us from across the table next to us that the food was coming. This was strange to us and in my opinion rude to the guests at the table next to us. Next, only one of the plates arrived and nothing was said about the other dish. It took so long my friend started to eat her food, otherwise it would turn cold. I again had to ask if my food was coming. Luckily it arrived soon after. The egg was very bland, other than that the bagel was nice. Waitress Kate was very friendly and responsive, the tall male waiter could...
