Przypiecek — Restaurant in Krakow

Let me start by saying THIS IS NOT ZAPIECEK. It's clear they want people to think that. That's because it originally was Zapiecek. However, for some reason, the restaurant slightly modified its name, removed the nice atmosphere by replacing the original music with pop from the 2000s and by making the interior look like a kitchen from a fast food restaurant. They also severely decreased the quality of the food by having having the dough be incredibly soft, which completely goes against what makes Zapiecek's pierogis great, they started frying the bacon in a way that makes it sweet and, quite frankly, absolutely disgusting. DISGUSTING SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE. I ordered vegetarian dumplings and even pointed on the menu to the cabbage and mushroom dumplings. When the dumplings came they had bacon on top and when I asked if they had meat in them I was told that they were the meat and cabbage ones. When I said that they were not what we ordered woman was incredibly rude to us and said that I had to pay again even though it was their mistake. She refused to change the dumplings which they had made wrong. She tried to demand that we pay again. Absolutely disgusting service I could not recommend this place less. Even more the meat dumplings which other people in the group ate were mediocre at best and we we were not able to get a refund for the mistake...

Must try place to eat if you are looking for amazing traditional Pierogi . It's a hidden gem of a place up the side street from the main square in Krakow. The staff are really friendly ,helpful and speak excellent English. Honestly if you want to taste amazing Pierogi then get yourself here . As you can see from the menu there's lots to choose from and also they do other polish dishes like traditional polish soup's to sausage and meat dishes aswell . I travelled all the way from Scotland to visit krakow and I have to add its also an amazing city with really friendly people but also I would come back to eat good food like this again . 10 out of 10 and we'll done to everyone at Pierogi 24...
