The breakfast buffet is fine if it is included in your room rate but, in my opinion, not worth 80zl if you had to pay out of pocket. I don't know though. The Apple Juice is the best I've had in my life.
The dinner is a better value. The trout I had was delicious.
I do find it a little amusing that my waitress cited "safety reasons" for the restaurant not having tap water when I've been drinking the tap water from my room sink in the hotel for the last week (after staff at the front desk telling me that is fine). Also, they certainly have a water pitcher out during the breakfast to my recollection. It feels like a way to just sell more 13zl bottles of water. Maybe it is too American of me, but I'm thirsty after a long day out and could have probably drank four 0.5L bottles with my meal if I had let myself. Instead, I had to wait to drink the same tap water after the meal in my room.

Read moreThis restaurant advertises itself as a gastro-pub, a modern, laid back place to enjoy a great meal for a good dime. I have to say, it is more! During my stay at the Puro Hotel Stare Miasto, I have been for dinner twice at this restaurant and I was amazed by the superb meals prepared by the kitchen crew (OMG - the cucumber soup ❤️), paired with great wine and cocktails from the hotel bar, I had a wonderful high quality dinner. The host my evenings was Julia who was very charming, skillful and accommodating - the perfect waitress you can wish for during a solo dinner. Since I am travelling a lot on my own, I appreciate great service, quality food and the perfect sense of timing with a waiting staff. 😊 They know when to approach the table or leave with you be for another couple of minutes with my book and wine. Thank you for contributing to my wonderful stay in Krakow, I will be back and hope to find you...

Can definitely see international influence on the menu from duck ramen to Polish goose meat and Italian Gorgonzola. My salad with goose was fantastic — super fresh especially with the pear pairing. The buckwheat was a bit too oily. I also tried the beef tartare — not sure about the mayonnaise. It didn’t add anything to the meal nor elevated it. The focaccia that was served along was quite old and dry which I shared with the server. Regardless the meat was done nicely. I think it’s a great light fare...
