!!! Response to the restaurant’s excuses below !!!
High-quality and delicious food with good service is definitely not what I received at this establishment.
As for the service, when we were seated, the waitress asked whether we preferred the menu in Polish or English. We replied “English,” expecting that there would be no language barrier when ordering. However, it turned out that the waitress only knew 3–5 words in English and had no understanding of what we were ordering. This led to us receiving dishes we did not ask for. When we tried to explain that the dish served was different from what we ordered, the waitress started arguing and making excuses. She offered no solution and simply walked away.
Regarding the food — maybe it was just our bad luck — but I noticed that the tuna in the dish we didn’t order was dried out and looked like it had been exposed to air for some time, suggesting improper storage. We also had eel rolls, but the roll was poorly made, causing half of the pieces to fall apart. The eel was not even cleaned of its skin — something usually done to add weight in cheap restaurants. I don’t know whether this was due to an inexperienced chef or the restaurant’s policy, but it’s worth mentioning.
And please do something about your lemonades. The simplest drink in your place tastes like 50 ml of cheap juice diluted with water and ice.
Just so this doesn’t sound like a review from someone unfamiliar with the restaurant business — I graduated from a university of food technologies with a specialization in hospitality and restaurant management and am one of the co-owners of a Japanese cuisine restaurant chain. So I believe I know a thing or two about this field.
P.S:
Judging by the restaurant’s response to my review, we see the usual pattern — excuses and denial. Just read a few other negative reviews and you’ll notice the same behavior.
Claiming that the photo in a previous review shows “fresh tuna” and a “quality eel roll,” and insisting that this is what guests are served throughout the day — that’s either complete disrespect or a clear lack of understanding by the staff and owners of what a truly fresh, quality product is.
Luckily, this can all be easily verified.
Here’s my offer: I’ll visit with my camera operator and we’ll do a live stream from your kitchen and bar — no cuts, no edits, no room to fake anything. Let people see for themselves if you’re being honest.
And to top it off — let’s do a short English test with your waitress. After all, you claimed her English is more than sufficient.
Hopefully this time there won’t be any excuses. Since you’re so confident in your...
Read moreAmazing food ( especially udon sea food noodles!!! And Japanese buns !!!omg! But desserts, although beautifully presented could be better both in flavour and their oryginal description: chocolate-ginger cake with mango sorbet- well it's not a chocolate cake but a dessert consisting of chocolate mousse with slight hint of ginger, on a very dry cookie crumbs base ..very sweet ..not my favourite combination of flavours..perhaps if it was a real cake (maybe served warm with cardamom infused cream, and that lovely mango sorbet..it would be much nicer) sushi ice cream- tiny coconut sushi- lovely in flavour, especially with pureed mango.. chocolate sushi maki ice cream..- to much chilli !! And that horrible black rolled fondant to create seaweed effect-- why oh why?? Perhaps next time you could use real black chocolate ring to represent the sushi wrap or at least black modelling chocolate which would hold shape better and taste much nicer. Other than that, a great experience, polite staff, main food/starters/soups really good.. just work on that...
Read moreI've been eating here for a few years. Food is always delicious. I usually order rolls and each time I find them really tasty. And check this mango dessert! A real masterpiece. My average check for one person with a drink is around 60-70 PLN But: the service could have been better. They have a sign at the entrance to wait there to be seated. Every time I stop at the sign, waitresses look at me with a surprise. And when finally someone approaches me, they are always like "Is there anything I can help you with?". I'm like "Yeah, I'd like to get a table". They (surprised) "Well, you can choose any". It's fine by me to get inside on my own, but why having a sign? And then it takes 2-4 minutes to get a menu. And each attempt to get an atantion of a waitress results in me waving my hands all around. For some reason they never come to check on their own and don't even notice when I simply raise a hand (even when looking directly to my side). So, please, fix the service. Otherwise, all...
