Had to write this for others out there not to have the same experience as we did. We booked these apartments because they had a lift , close to town and railway station. Location is spot on. However the lift broke down twice in our 5 day stay . Being 77 and 63 and having to climb 75 steps up to the 3rd floor when the temperature is 28 degrees is no joke for anyone. The room needed total renovation and smelled of cooking from the Indian restaurant next door. No air-Conor fan, so stuffy we had to leave the windows open even when we went out. The bedroom window was broken and only opened a crack. The bathroom just had a shower hose over a small bath with a useless screen as the floor got flooded every time we showered. No towel change or any sort of cleaning during our stay. Badly equipped kitchen, no toaster only two glasses. The TV didn’t work and was on an unsafe and wonky broken stand. No bedside lamps . And the icing on the cake was the work being carried out outside the kitchen window. Scaffolding, dust, workmen shouting, banging, mixing, radio blasting . Easy jet didn’t inform us of any of this prior to our arrival. These apartments are on a busy main road and are extremely noisy anyway from around nine o clock until late you have the boy racers with their super loud exhausts racing by . Also there is a church right opposite which starts ringing bells on the hour and half hour from 6 in the morning until 9 at night. This was our 6th visit to Krakow and we love it. We have always had such beautiful accommodations. This one needs to be taken out of easy jet holiday list and updated to the standard that...
Read moreThe apartments are in a fantastic location. It is a 10 minute walk to the old town and a two minute walk to a large shopping centre, bus and tram links. It was here we picked up the coach for our Auschwitz tour, and it looks like this is a popular area for tour pick ups. (There is also a bus station immediately outside the building.) It is approximately 20 minutes in a taxi from the airport and Bolt rides are very cheap. There are small convenience stores located close by for anything you might want for your room (milk, water, soft drinks etc.) ||The building is beautiful outside, but just as beautiful inside with a grand spiral staircase and a small lift travelling through the middle of this. ||We were lucky enough to have a two story apartment. The apartment was warm and clean and we no issues with heating. It is a perfect base for sleeping, showering and getting changed. There are ample lights and light lug sockets around the apartment. ||There is an Indian restaurant next door and you can smell it in the lobby- imo, I thought it smelt gorgeous! And it does not smell in the room. The main desk is manned 24h which made us feel safe and we were able to store our bags after check-out on our last day. ||We had a great stay...
Read moreWhile the apartment is ideally located to see Krackow and was dated but clean there were a number of issues which I feel should be noted and have been commented on in other reviews but not addressed -we had what we were told was superior apartment and it states all apts have dishwashers - there was none in ours and at reception they were just surprised ! We didn’t need it but don’t advertise it if not there. The room with the kitchen has the wardrobe in it and can be used as another bed space if more than 2 people and you walk through here back to the bathroom or to the bedroom. This room is overlooked from adjoining buildings with interior yard and yet the window had no blind or curtain. No privacy. As mentioned in other review the cooker hood is very badly positioned. The bathroom had a shower but can only be used by hand unless for a child. Overall the accommodation was functional mainly for location but don’t expect too...
