My mother and I had an amazing stay at Hotel Mercure Kraków Stare Miasto! We were warmly welcomed and greeted each time we passed by the entrance's doors. The hotel's receptionists are always available and were incredibly kind and helpful, each time we needed help. I want to thank personally the "trainee" (I think it was written "trainee" on his tag) that helped us so many times (I'm so sorry I don't know your name, but you were incredibly kind and patient, and I enjoyed discussing with you about transports in France VS Poland.. it helped me get out of my comfort zone, as someone who usually doesn't do well in society.. we didn't even realise you were in training until the last day!!) And Anita (I think that's her/your name) who greeted us warmly when we arrived and when we left! P.S: The obwarzanki were amazing, and we were really touched by the attention/gift. And we loved the "welcome" chocolate as well!

The hotel is extremely well located. Just 1min walk (literally in front of it) from Galeria Krakowska and so, from the train station (Kraków Główny) and just a 10min walk from Rynek Główny, the main square of Kraków. We were able to get around by foot, or used local transports such as tramway or bus to get to further museums (which I enjoyed the experience).

The room was very spacious, clean, and very well isolated. I only had troubles getting used to the tramway sound, which was very frequent (which kind of sounded like a sort of thunder), but did not disturb me further than that, thanks to the good isolation. The shower was beautiful, quite big and both the bathroom and room had everything we could've needed (and more).

A mention for the hotel's entrance: it's beautiful?! The decoration, the flowers, the traditional Polish style (interior), AND THE SCENT! I had previously read reviews mentioning how the hotel "smelled really nice", I wasn't expecting such a strong yet pleasant smell, it was very lovely, even in the corridors, I'll never forget that!

Overall, if you need a hotel for a short or long stay, I highly recommend the Hotel Mercure Kraków Stare Miasto, which is perfectly located, and very affordable! We had amazing nights, slept very well, and the staff was really amazing and patient with us! Additionally, you have the possibility to leave your luggages at the front desk if you arrive early (as check-in starts at 3pm) which was very convienent to us as we could explore the city while waiting for our room.

Thank you so much, to the whole team of this incredible hotel. We will definitely come back and choose it again if we were to travel to Kraków again (and I think we will, the trip was made of beautiful landscapes and architecture, incredibly tasty and traditional Polish food we've more than loved...) ❤️

Sincerely, Sarah & Stéphanie D....

We are two adults and two children, and we stayed in a Superior room for 3 nights. The good: The hotel is in a convenient location, just across from a shopping mall, a 5-minute walk from the Old Town, and close to a public transport stop with easy connections to various attractions. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection including vegetables and fruits, options for vegetarians and vegans, and gluten-free choices. The room was spacious enough for two adults and two children, everything worked well, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. When we had trouble with the air conditioning, the reception couldn’t really help, but the housekeeping staff kindly assisted us, and we are grateful for that. The issues we experienced: When we arrived late in the evening, we placed our bags near the hotel entrance while my husband went inside to check in. I stayed outside to pack our children’s car seats into their bags before bringing them in. A receptionist came to the window, knocked on it, and gestured for me to move away with my things. I assume she thought I had just left my luggage there, but she didn’t ask or check, and the way it happened felt very unpleasant and made a poor first impression. We also didn’t notice there was a regular side door next to the revolving door, so we brought our luggage through the revolving door, which was awkward. None of the staff mentioned the easier entrance, and we only noticed it the next morning. When we finished checking in, the same receptionist who had knocked on the window offered my husband some chocolates—perhaps realizing I had been upset—but she never apologized. The next morning, when we came for breakfast, the restaurant was overcrowded (probably because a large tour group was leaving early), and it took us a long time to find seats together. We eventually found a rather inconvenient spot for us (with two children and a stroller), and another guest kindly offered to switch places so we could sit more comfortably. We fully understand that such situations can happen when many guests arrive at the same time, but it would be helpful if the staff paid more attention and assisted guests in finding seats. During the same breakfast, when we asked a staff member for a baby chair, she first explained to us why it would be inconvenient to put it where we were sitting–as if we had chosen the most inconvenient place on purpose. The Wi-Fi in our room was also quite weak, which made it difficult to work. Overall: I still rate this hotel 5 stars because, overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, the room was comfortable, and most of the staff were welcoming and helpful. These were just a few situations where more attention and a friendlier approach from certain staff members could have made the experience...

Back from an lovely trip to Krakow, and our stay at the Mercure Krakow Hotel was made that extra special. The hotel's location, warm hospitality, and overall value was great. The hotel is positioned directly across from the main train station and shopping mall. This makes it the perfect base for exploring the city. The old town is just a quick 10 minute walk away, providing easy access to bars, restaurants and other various entertainment options… Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the reception team, who pleasantly surprised us by upgrading our room to one with a balcony. The room was not only spacious but also meticulously clean, with all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. The highlight of our stay was unquestionably the breakfast. It was not just fantastic in taste but also beautifully presented, offering a wide variety to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. The only minor drawback was the limited dinner options for vegetarians. However, this was not a significant issue as old town and shopping mall offered plenty of dining options… The staff were all exceptionally friendly, approachable and professional. From reception, bar, restrauant to the cleaning team, everyone was welcoming and courteous. There was, however, one exception; an older, bearded gentleman at the front desk who seemed a bit less cheerful and unwelcoming. If you do happen to cross paths with him, then please give him a super big mighty bear hug! Check out was smooth and a hassle free experience, and it was a delightful surprise to have one of the front desk team members, I believe his name was Paul, bid us farewell at the main lobby door with a bagel treat at hand for our journey back home… In conclusion, highly recommend Mercure Hotel to anyone planning a visit to this region. Its exceptional location, outstanding hospitality, cleanliness, and competitive room rates make it the ideal choice. The hotel serves as a fantastic base for exploring Krakow while ensuring a comfortable and top quality welcoming stay..

I really enjoyed staying at Mercury hotel. It has private parking right under the hotel, cozy lobby, the room was spacious, clean, and very modern, bed and pillows-so comfortable, window blinds are made of proper material to completely block any light in the morning, which is very important for me. There is also a little gym on the top floor. As for breakfast, the variety of dishes is decent, everything is fresh, and my son evaluated omelette in this hotel is top rated . we used to take the table close to window. The only thing , which I would recommend to improve , is the quality of coffee, which, by the way, did not impress me in the whole Krakow. At breakfast, the coffee machine is tuned to brew for several seconds, which does not give proper extraction. I’ll finish my review who is sending regards to the gentleman at reception . It’s not often that you made people capable of running a good talk. Our stay was July 16-18 Oh, the location is also good, it’s just 10 to 15 minutes walk to the Central Square, central station, and big shopping mall are right across the street , which, by the way, does not bring any discomfort.
