Szynk — Restaurant in Krakow

This was my first meal in Poland and It was great. I was surprised that this restaurant didn't have a lot of Yelp reviews, however they have tons of reviews on Google which is why I decided to visit. I wanted to try traditional Polish food and Szynk didn't disappoint! I ordered traditional pork ribs with fried potatoes and cabbage for my main course and meat pierogis as an appetizer. The main course wasn't what I expected but it was really good! The pork ribs were in a stew and the potatoes and cabbage were combined, it was similar to a fritter or pancake. Very good restaurant with very nice, English speaking waiters. The food was good, well spiced. Only mushroom soup in the bread loaf needs probably a little more spices, like salt for example. Or the salt, magi, pepper and other spices should be put on the table - they weren't. Also the boiled vegetables were very watery - boiled veggies should only be boiled for a very short amount of time to be still nice and crispy - the ones we got were tasteless and you could only feel water, no veggies. We were only in Kraków two days unfortunately, but found this place as a result of reviews when looking for an authentic Polish restaurant. The service was so friendly, and food incredible. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy. We have Ukrainian heritage and are used to seeing eating traditional pierogies, cabbage and sausage.
