This cozy restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and fast, attentive service — it immediately makes you feel welcome.
During our first visit, we ordered a variety of dishes: vitello tonnato, tagliatelle, lasagna, risotto, scaloppina, and a Fiorentina steak, which the chef personally carved at the table. Every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and made with care. As is often the case in the area, parking was a bit of a challenge, but that’s something beyond the restaurant’s control.
We were so pleased that we decided to return a year later — unfortunately, this time, the experience was more mixed.
We ordered vitello tonnato, shrimp, Fiorentina steak (medium), Milanese cutlet, ravioli, and carbonara. We also tried two cocktails — Aperol Spritz and Campari Orange — both were okay, not exceptional, but refreshing.
The shrimp were very tasty, fresh and well-prepared. The Fiorentina steak was also delicious and grilled to perfection, though this time it arrived already sliced, which some diners may prefer whole for presentation. The Milanese cutlet was also crispy and flavorful, a great choice.
However, there were a few disappointments. The vitello tonnato, which had been so good during our first visit, was a letdown this time — the meat seemed dry, and the dish lacked the delicate texture and balance we expected.
The carbonara was particularly problematic. It had a very bitter cheese that overpowered the dish, and the overall appearance suggested it had been sitting for a while before being served.
Additionally, the wait time for the food was unusually long, and while the staff remained polite, the delays impacted the overall dining experience.
In summary, this restaurant has a lot of potential and has proven in the past to offer excellent food and service, but during our second visit, inconsistencies in quality and wait time were noticeable.
We hope this was just an off day, because the setting, menu variety, and warm ambiance make it a place worth giving another chance — and we would still recommend it with...
Read moreI used to like this restaurant but yesterday I decided to never go back again. The food quality was extremely poor. We ordered focaccia and burrata with baby zucchini for appitizers. The focaccia was old reheated and the burrata was not fresh and tasteless like biedronka cheese. Then the main dishes. Spaghetti with mussels was ok but they shouldn't lie about having a homemade pasta because the one they served was not homemade but box pasta. Then the veal cutlet was the star of the night, I can only discribe it as the worst dish I had this year. I couldn't finish my dish it was horrible, it seemed like the chef was learning to cook. The dishes were under salted and seasoned and the sauce (supposedly white wine) was so acidic with too much lemon juice I had acid reflex after my meal. I don't know what type of chef can ruin such simple dishes. We ended the meal with tiramisu, was ok but again old. The lady fingers was extremely soggy and the cream wasn't impressive at all. The only thing that compensated our disappointment was the bottle of Chianti riserva 2015 which...
Read moreWe were 5 people. Ordered 2 Tartars, arancini, carbonara, turkey tacchino and a squid with mash. Arancini was good. Tartar was bad, really tasteless. We expected more especially when the price is higher than usually in Warsaw restaurants. The same issue with a carbonara. Just an average pasta from a buffet. No real yolks sause with a pecorino. Maybe it's a inhouse version of carbonara? But at least there was a guanciale. Tachhino was ok. Not good, not bad. Just rather like simple Austrian schnitzel to accompany a beer. The only good dish in our order was a squid with a mash. That's it. Also service is slow. Main dishes we received after 1h, patiently waiting after appetizers. Also one tartar was with a crispy baked bread, the other was not backed. It looks like the kitchen works bad. Anyway, we tried, now we know, but will never come back. Average restaurant in Italy is often...
