We came there and expected a really nice meal. The guy met us and suggested the table. Then we got our menus and decided to take food from the lunch menu, which was just a set menu with only 2 choices so should have been very straightforward. We took also 3 cocktails, coffee and lemonade. After taking the order, the waiter needed to come back because he’d written down the wrong food order, but then struggled with the menu, so in the end I had to write it down for him. As a result, he then needed to change the order he’d entered in the till, and asked the restaurant manager to help him, the manager then proceeded to yell at him in the restaurant in front of us and other guests, and told him “I don’t have time to help you, why don’t you ask the customer to”, there were also various other arguments between staff members which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. While waiting for food, a new customer entered and waited in the entrance, staff ignored him for a long time (despite the restaurant being almost empty), until eventually he left. The waiter later came to us to say they didn’t have the ingredients for one of the cocktails we’d ordered,so we chose a new one, and he then suggested we’d be charged for the original choice (which was more expensive), which we then disputed. The drinks came one at a time over quite a long period, and when the lemonade came, it turned out it was actually just the water jug meant for another table, so the waiter needed to return it and bring the real drink. When bringing the food, the main came before the starter, and when we asked about the starter (soup), the manager was quite rude and told us it was coming now. The food itself was good, but the service was really poor overall. At the end, they tried arguing that a service charge should be added to the bill, which we argued due to the poor service charge. The price for the food and drinks was however very reasonable, coming to only ~£60 for 5 soups and mains plus a drink each (including 3 cocktails), it’s a shame the service...
Read moreBe careful, they force you to pay an extra 10% fee for « service ». However, this is not a optional fee to thank servers for their hard work but an extra amount to pay for no reason. When we confronted them about this, they said that this extra fee is present in every restaurant in Poland which is absolutely not true. We’ve been to lots of cities and restaurants and this is the first time a service fee of 10% was included.
We made a reservation online but we never received a confirmation weather by email or telephone. When we arrive in the restaurant, lots of tables are free and originally thought that these tables were reserved for later. The server (a man) at the reception was very cold and unwelcoming, and clearly didn’t want us to be here despite the lack of clients. We stood still for several minutes, and insisted before he finally let us in. During the whole dinner, almost no guests came to the tables that we thought were reserved, we thought that was very strange on a Friday night.
All the servers were mean except a very nice, lady that served us and the food was alright but the whole experience was ruined by this scam.
We understand how this restaurant may be able to scam some clueless tourists but we also understand why no locals want to go there on a...
Read moreFood and kitchen was really good. We were visiting place 2 evenings in a row. Success of the visit there fully depends on the waitress. First evening got good one and everything went smoothly. Second evening got fully staffed clumsy waitress team 😔. Placed order and then checked personally the order list - all looked good. Despite correct list, we missed 2 main courses and 3 side dishes. We have reminded that we lack them and that we are still waiting them. Seems that they were just lost somewhere 🤷♂️. Finally got promised that side dishes and main courses will arrive in 10 mins(that was about 45 mins after order) . After 25 mins missed main courses were finally delivered. Barely eatable- fully charred and still no side dishes 🤦♂️. Waitress "gladly" agreed to subtract it from the bill. When bill arrived - side dishes were still included. Funniest thingy - noone told a magical word - "sorry" in any point in time - mad evening, junior waitress, kitchen messed up, any little pretty lie would do. But not like - it's business of usual and we seldom messing up with guests orders. Meaning, oh cmon please invest a bit of time and resources...
