EDIT: The restaurant tried to flag this review from two years ago, but it came back and now they deny. Maybe they made the changes they claim but no it is not a mistake by me. Ta opinia dotyczy dokladnie tej restauracji! This is the restaurant across the street from the "Ku czci Zwierząt Rzeźnych" the animal bronze statues, right? Instead of flagging the review then lying it would have been better to say, we changed our ways, come back and try our new menu.
I wish for everyone to know that "traditional polish food" doesn't have to suck this bad. The positive reviews below are confusing. The quality here is kind of insulting, saying this as a polish person. The soup, which was the best thing we had, was luke warm as if microwaved but not long enough. Kopytka were frozen then thrown in a deep fryer, strange texture and kind of like french fries? (Kopytka are supposed to be kind of like gnocchi). The meat dish with spinach was unedible, the surowki seem store bought and were going sour, a day or two away from getting you drunk, the worst of three was the wilted wet green salad with yogurt on it. The meat itself was ok but buried under spinach which was also frozen then boiled and thrown on a pan, resulting in a green moosh resembling vomit. The star is for the waiter who was very nice and even took the kopytka, which we barely touched, off of our bill without us even asking(maybe used to doing that?). We were willing to pay for whatever and just be on our way. Honestly I feel really bad for the people that work here, it must be hard to stand behind and represent such bad quality of ingredients. Maybe this place was ok some time long ago, in the communist PRL era, but there are 100s of better restaurants in Wroclaw at this point. Step up your game chatka. Use fresh ingredients and stop freezing everything...

First impressions were perfect, beautiful, cozy restaurant with very nice wait staff, however then the food arrived.
We both had the broth, which was completely tasteless, we felt as if there was not even a pinch of salt in it, basically just water with noodles.
For second course I had Zbojnicke pirogi which were obviously frozen, but the personnel (who had problems with English during our entire stay) started apologizing in perfect learned phrases which assured me we were not the exception and straight away offered to bring me a different dish. The pirogi tasted like if they were made from instant potato mash and were cold.
My girlfriend had a similar experience, she had some kind of fried chicken roll with spinach (nr. 26 on the menu) which felt reheated from frozen as well, very dry and tasteless, the potatoes (apart from not being salted at all) and the salad were actually pretty good though.
After we finished eating we were staring down the staff so we could pay for well over 45 minutes by when I gave up and just asked to pay.
All in all, even after the staff offered to strike the pirogi from the bill we still ended up paying 131 PLN, which I would say is quite high for two beers, two below average soups and one frozen main dish.
Would not recommend, will not...
Read morewe invited international group of partners we work with to dinner to taste Polish cuisine; we ordered a selection of pierogi for everyone to try; on top of that everyone ordered what they wanted; pierogi were brought in wooden plates/containers like in the old days which was fine but they were lukewarm and falling apart; they looked as if someone has overcooked them and then just poured them into the plates; they were with a variety of stuffing - spinage was the worst, meat ones were not tasty at all, Ruskie were without any taste; I have not tried any other, supposedly the ones with the pinkish dough were horrible.; I also orgered goose liver - it was really overcooked, so hard and tasteless I do not even know if it was goose liver; it was served on a piece of bread that was fried so everything was pouring with fat. Meat dishes that our guest ordered were fine, some even good (gołąbki - stuffed cabbage, and some pork dishes). The service is very nice but waiting time for food is very long. PS the waitress exchanged our pierogi for hot ones when I compleined, but the shape (or lack of it) and the taste has not changed. The place has a very good location so it is a shame they do not pay attention to the quality...
