There's something unique about this place. If you're in the center, looking for an interesting place to have a small meal with a shot of vodka - this should be your choice. I've been here many times and I always leave with funny / strange stories. It's not a regular restaurant, but one of those small places open 24 / h, where you can have a small beer with a bit of raw meat (tartar), but only if you're patient enough, because standing in a queue might take a while. The best time to go there is in the night, but if sausages or potatoes with quark sounds like a nice breakfast to you, you can also come there for your morning coffee. There's also a terrace so if it's not snowing you can...

One Word: Authentic This place feels like home. We tried the pierogi and gzik – both tasted just like homemade. The food is incredibly affordable: any dish is just 16 PLN, and a pint of beer is only 12 PLN. There’s no paper menu; everything is painted on the wall, which adds a unique charm. What you see is what you get – no frills, no pretense, just real, honest food. Absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy and local – a true hidden gem. And the view? Stunning. You’re seated right in front of St Elizabeth Of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, which makes the whole experience even...

By price, it is completely unbeatable.

Still, everything is actually very good, including the vodka ('wodka' in Polish spelling)

Location is exceptional too, just by the main square. ('Squir' or "squeer" according to Polish pronunciation).

They also say the place is 24 hours open... I cannot confirm that, but if they say so, it's probably true. 🧞‍♂️

Besides, if you go down to the dungeons 😅, sorry, the toilets, you will feel like a time traveller, deep into the past.

Overall, simply outstanding. It should be an Unesco World Heritage site. 😉...

Don’t be intimidated it you don’t speak Polish: staff is friendly. Order at the bar from the menu painted on the walls: it’s cash only & super budget friendly. This is a great spot away from the tourist traps surrounding the main square. Lots of locals. We loved people watching grandmas & grandpas taking their double shots with the tartar. Highly recommend the kielbaska. Loved the ambience & mismatched furniture. It’s worth the visit.

It claims to have the best tartar of Wroclaw, so I went to have a try, accompanied with a czech beer. It was good for that price (both cost me 24 pln, arpund 5.2 eur, pretty cheap) but I had better tartar elsewhere in Poland. Still recommend this place. The oldie music sounds from the radio, the setup in the tavern is charming and nostalgic. Good prices!
