Greco Wrocław Rynek — Restaurant in Wrocław

To be fair I score it with 2 stars because the restaurant needs huge improvement in food quality and some portions are too small for the prices they demand.

Let's start with the good dishes which are Atherina, Calamaraki and Bifteki. Atherina may be a small portion, but its cooking was fair enough as well with the Calamaraki. Bifteki needs a little improvement to avoid overcooking it and put a little more flavor in it. Tzatziki was nice too with not so much garlic placed inside. And that's it.

The bad dishes are the rest which are Gyros, Frytki, Pita, Saganaki Feta and the worst Kebab I have ever eaten. In details, Gyros is chicken meat but lacks of flavor and taste. Its portion and price was fair enough for a touristic place, but could be much more grams of meat.

Frytki costs like 12 zl, too expensive for the amount of fries. Its taste was what you could expect from this kind of potatoes.

Pita falls in the same category with Frytki where the Menu clearly states it is 3 szt (pieces) of Pita and they served us 1 piece as you can see in the photo, sliced in half !!!!! However, its taste was very good, without much oil but it costs 7zl (and not 3 pieces !!!!).

First time in my life as a Greek I see cold Feta, straight from its container without cooking be named Saganaki. Saganaki is melted feta with tomatoes (and even bell pepper). I don't know what was this, but surely it was NOT a Saganaki.

AVOID Kebab at all costs !!!! Dry, rough, overcooked, 0 taste, not authentic, no spices are just a few words to describe something that even a dog would not eat. This is the 1st priority to improve this dish.

We ordered Homemade white wine, but we received a labeled white wine in a jug. Ok, I don't have a problem with this as the only good things are the wines they serve. Except from the difference of the price and size of course which labeled is more expensive and 750ml instead of 1 lt and they did NOT notify us. We saw the change later in the receipt.

As you can see 2 stars are too much for this horrific experience, but I try to be kind instead of serving bad food, overpricing and swapping things in the receipt in order to...

The place is located on the very Rynek and looks rather cosy because of the marine colors and holiday atmosphere inside. We came there and ordered two portions of Greek style gyros and 2 starters - small fried fish and shrimps(actually, there were only 4 shrimps swimming in the chopped tomatos soup). We accompanied those with Greek-style tea. As I was in Greece for a couple of times, firstly it was nice to see and taste the familiar dishes. The starters were fine, though 4 shrimps with tomatoes - this is not what you expect to get in a starter called "shrimps". When the gyros was given to us,the meat happened to be dry, tasteless and not that warm. The yogurt sauce tasted as it was cooked a couple of days ago. The plate was covered with french fries and salad, when the proportion of meat was rather sad. The Greek tea was the perfect as it was really authentic but,again, a little pot, not sufficient for 2 people. Do not recommend - there are plenty of better...

Chciałbym wyrazić swoje rozczarowanie związane z dzisiejszą wizytą w Państwa restauracji Greco przy Rynku we Wrocławiu.

Bywam w tym lokalu regularnie i zawsze byłem bardzo zadowolony z jakości obsługi oraz klimatu restauracji. Niestety, dzisiejsze doświadczenie pozostawiło we mnie ogromny niesmak.

Przyszedłem ze znajomymi. Razem byliśmy w czwórkę i chcieliśmy usiąść przy stoliku na wysepce przy oknie, który był przeznaczony dla sześciu osób. Zauważyliśmy, że stolik nie miał żadnej rezerwacji, więc postanowiliśmy go zająć. Wtedy kelnerka o imieniu Kasia dosłownie w ostatniej chwili, tuż przed naszym zajęciem miejsca, wstawiła przed moim nosem znak Rezerwacja i wzruszyła ramionami, zamiast uprzejmie wyjaśnić sytuację czy przeprosić.

Poczułem się mocno urażony szczególnie że podczas dwóch godzin, które spędziliśmy w restauracji, nikt nie pojawił się przy tym stoliku. Zachowanie kelnerki sprawiło wrażenie, że to celowe zagranie. Niestety, odnoszę wrażenie, że być może miało to związek z moim pochodzeniem.

Chciałbym też zaznaczyć, że w tym czasie inne osoby w grupach dwuosobowych zajmowały czteroosobowe stoliki i nie było z tym żadnego problemu, mimo że dostępne były wolne stoliki dwuosobowe.

Dodatkowo cała nasza wizyta była nieprzyjemna z powodu postawy kelnerki. Podczas oczekiwania na posiłki, a także w trakcie naszego pobytu, kelnerka Kasia nieustannie patrzyła na nas z wyższością i sprawiała wrażenie osoby, która próbuje udawać profesjonalną obsługę jednak jednocześnie żuła gumę i była wyraźnie niemiła w swoim zachowaniu.

Chciałbym jednak zaznaczyć, że obsługiwała nas Pani Ada, która była wyjątkowo uprzejma i serdeczna, za co bardzo jej dziękuję. Niestety, mimo jej wielkich starań nie udało się poprawić mojego nastroju po tym, jak zostałem potraktowany przez kelnerkę Kasię.

Uważam, że takie podejście jest zupełnie nieakceptowalne i nie przystoi renomowanej restauracji, jaką zawsze uważałem Greco za miejsce godne polecenia.
