This place is a treasure. We stumbled upon it while looking for a place to grab some refreshment while waiting for our train to Lisbon. We liked it so much that we ended up eating a full meal with dessert and yea! We had the soup of the day, a hearty vegetable soup that tasted like something straight from the garden—simple and filling. Next we shared the Alheira—a strange and delicious dish with potato sticks, eggs, bacon, sausage, peanuts, cilantro, and orange—why is this so good? It is delightful!!!! A bit chilly to sit outside, slide past a counter with beautiful crew smiling with welcoming hearts. Our waitress (ashamed I didn’t ask her name) was incredible! Another issue is when I was ordering, I was hesitant about the whole appetiser recommended for 2 pax because I’m only one person. Waitress told me I can just order half portion, which I did, assuming it’ll be half the price (how it usually works elsewhere in the world).
