We came for dinner after our tour guide suggested it. They only had 4 things to choose from: chicken, octopus, codfish and pork. They cook ‘pratos do dia’ and I have to say they were delicious. We had the chicken and the octopus. The octopus was super tender and had a nice onion sauce. The chicken tasted like ‘coq au vin’, it was cook in a different sauce than the octopus a little bit more sweet.

It’s really small inside, they have 4 tables that can accommodate between 2-3 people. And it seems during the day they have tables outside as well.

The kitchen is run by one lady and there’s just one server that seems to be the owner. He’s a real treat, he kept talking to us in Portuguese and English and was very entertaining.

I can’t suggest this place enough. 2 pratos do dia, one soda, one beer, bread and...

This place was absolutely perfect! The venue is super cosy and looks old fashioned and cool. The food was the best culinary portugal experience we had so far (we actually been there twice as we enjoyed it that much - despite of having a pretty limited travel budget) I absolutely recommend the pulpo dish! We mostly had dishes which has been recommended by the lovely owner and waiter (his wife is doing the kitchen). Also lamb, precourses, the soup and even the wine (red) was amazing. The prices are more than fair. At night (saturday) there was even a guy with a guitar playing some fado nearby.

Overall we enjoyed our stay there and you should definetly enjoy this...

Amazing hidden gem!!! So glad we found this place. They literally have 4 main dishes on their menu. Although very limited choices, there’s something for everyone. Food can only be described as hearty and fills the soul. Very flavorsome and meat was cooked to perfection. Great value for money as well. The host was so friendly and attentive to your needs. We had the octopus and chicken dish. The gravy was so good we soaked it all up with our bread roll. Highly highly recommend if you’re looking for something different and authentic. P/S: The restaurant is very small and can only sit 5 couples at a time so go early if you don’t...

Authentic Portugese experience with a goofy but warm-hearted host! We had a cheese board followed by two local pot dishes/stewes, one from beef the other from chicken. Both were well made and tasty. The place is run by an elder couple who are doing their best. if you're looking for a more traditional experience away from the made-for-Instagram places, this place is recommended. And this place is also ery affordable, for 2 people with a main, a shared starter and a couple of beers we paid less than 30 EUR.
