I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal Tandouri, the Indian restaurant in Portugal, and it was an extraordinary experience! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was inviting, warm, and filled with the delightful aroma of Indian spices.
The staff at Royal Tandouri were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout my entire visit. They took the time to explain the dishes and made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. The service was impeccable, creating a sense of comfort and satisfaction.
As for the food, it was simply exceptional! The chefs at Royal Tandouri have truly mastered the art of Indian cuisine. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and spices, delivering a true taste of India right in Portugal. Whether it was the creamy and aromatic curries, the perfectly cooked tandoori dishes, or the delectable naan bread, everything was prepared with utmost skill and care.
I was impressed not only by the outstanding taste but also by the high-quality ingredients used in the preparation of the dishes. The restaurant's dedication to maintaining the authenticity of Indian flavors while incorporating local produce is commendable.
Overall, my experience at Royal Tandouri was unforgettable. It's evident that the restaurant takes great pride in their offerings, and I couldn't have asked for a better Indian dining experience in Portugal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional culinary journey through the rich and diverse...
Read moreNot sure where to start it was such bad service .. 3 people with this visit .. Put the order put in for 2 starters and 3 main courses . Starters onion Bhaji’s and Chicken Pakora , Chicken ok but very little taste to either of the starters , including the sauce that came with it which one was supposed to be spicy and was not ... The main course I ask for was Chicken Vindaloo very hot and spicy , they did not do Vindaloo but said the Chicken Bhuna was the same very hot so ordered that , it was not spicy at all , certainly did not taste like a curry, and probably equal to one of the mildest spiced dish I have had , also ordered Peshawari Naan bread to come out at the same time as the main course , also expected the main courses to come out for everyone more or less the same time so we can eat at the same time like other restaurants … This is where the very bad service started , my course was served without my Peshawari Naan bread , I had completely finished eating my main course , ten minutes after , one other person was served their main course , still with no Peshawari Naan bread that was supposed to be served at the same time as the main courses … The 2nd person was half way through eating their main course when my wife was served her main course . I had now had finished my main course by 20 minutes … Nobody impressed at all with this restaurant in the slightest .. Also on top of that it does not even serve wine to go with your food … We will...
Read moreordered the 2 samosa for 3 € . They told me, they don't have it. So ordered veggy pakora. But then there was 1 samosa left i could take for 3 €. The first rip off. I took the samosa anyway bcz i love fresh samosa. Samosa was ok, green sauce seems sour. This should not taste like that.
The next order i had was the chana dahl. Im indian myself and a indian vegan restaurant chef.so i know what chana dahl is. It should be with chickpeas, NOT lentles. Such a dissapointment. .
So that was the second rip off in my opinion because chana dahl should be more expensive then normal dahl from lentles. Taste of the dahl is nothing special. In fact, at home i had to adjust myself some spices to make it mors authentic india.
So, i do NOT recommend this restaurant. They should know better, but they don't care.
There must be better options for indian food in Coimbre, i hope.
Smile and being friendly is not what im paying for. Food has to improve much...
