Boteko - Restaurante & Petiscaria — Restaurant in Coimbra

For the main course we had the Posta de Alcatra (if you love meat do yourself a favor and try it!). It was A👏MA👏ZING👏!!! Perfectly cooked as requested and so flavorful! For the "sobremesa" we had the Brownie de Chocolate, which IMO should be called The God's Pleasure or something like that because the name Brownie de Chocolate doesn't do it justice. We also had a bottle of a great red wine from Douro's.

I also want to thank Ricardo for being such a friendly and amazing host 🙏. This was the perfect place to end our stay in Coimbra. So memorable.

This is the first place in my 1 week in Portugal that there was not a separate price &/or menu for locals vs. tourists. What a hidden gem. I ordered the prato do dia (prix fix menu lunch special with soup, drink & coffee included). Not only was the food fabulous; tasty with generous portions - what was advertised was what was priced. We visited this lovely restaurant last week, with my daughter who was visiting from the UK. The food was fantastic, great value for money, with brilliant, attentive service. We were very surprised, when the chef/owner took the trouble to come out and introduce himself to us and offered us a choice of desserts, we all enjoyed beautiful cheesecake, many thanks, we will definitely be back soon, and have told many friends about this lovely...
