Taberna D'Almedina — Restaurant in Coimbra

Our first dinner at Coimbra and no better choice than this. The restaurant is in the little square if this monument arco Almedina. We were actually arriving quite late and it’s in the middle of a live music show, consigned by the restaurant. One guy only with a e-guita and he was marvelous! The whole area is brightened up with happiness and lively audiences, sing or dance according to the harmony rhythm of the performer. Great meal with a great ambiance. There were two (very talented) musicians giving a show in a beautiful decor. The food and service was excellent. We were 4 and we all enjoyed our plates. The grilled Octopus was tender and cooked to perfection. The sfuffed pork loin was tasty and served with a beautiful side of vegetables. I had an amazing night at this restaurant. When we were there, there was live music! We even had a local performer who played some lovely Portuguese music as well as English on his electric guitar. Next, to the food. The food was great, amazing options for kids (pizzas and more!) and lots of choice. The servers were very friendly and helpful.
