Orpheus - Universidade - UNESCO Heritage — Hotel in Coimbra

Great apartment - large, comfortable, clean. Fantastic location, right on the main pedestrian street at the midway point, and the intersection of the pedestrian street that goes up to the university, so it was easy to go exploring in all directions. Host was very responsive - the hairdryer fried within 10 minutes of me turning it on, and it was replaced within a couple of hours. Parking garage (Bragaparque) was a short, 5-minute walk away. Note that the parking garage doesn't take foreign credit cards, so have cash on-hand, not an issue as it is a manned garage...

Location is great. Just under the the Almedina Arch leading to the Fado Center and Coimbra U as well as many other attractions. Main street run just beneath our window. Although the room is beautifully decorated and spacious, the bathroom had a very musty and unpleasant odor. Towels were minimal and the rack was none existent. Shower shelf was broken and no body soap provided. So had to purchase some. If these conditions were fixed, then this place would be highly recommended mainly due to its...

Orpheus is a nice one bedroom sized studio. The location is excellent. It is situated close to the entrance to the old castle/university. There are many restaurants within seconds as you leave the premises and you are serenaded by groups of 'Fado' singers right on the promenade outside your windows.
