Eme lounge — Restaurant in Faro

We came here for a pre-flight lunch because of the location looking over the marina, and in the sun. It was fairly easy to get an uncleared table (we had to clear it ourselves), and waited for our surly waitress to come over to take our order. She had no idea what was on the menu, and so we had to change our order several times. This should have been a sign to leave straight away, however we ordered 2 small beers, and 2 "Greek" savoury crepes. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing plenty of other tables arrive, and have their orders taken and fulfilled, I went into the bar to get our beers, by which time it appeared our "crepes" were ready, and the waitress and I bought our food and drinks out to our table.

The crepes were advertised as containing Feta cheese, olives, onions, tomato and green peppers. It was more like a cold crepe containing feta cheese, onions, onions, more onions, an anaemic tomato, and some chunks of green pepper. Not an olive in sight.

We were subsequently ignored, until we left. I still regret paying the cheque in full. It was a horrible experience, and truly a disappointment for our last few hours...

One of the best places to have a drink and watch the sun going down in Faro. I wish the would have a better selection of music or no music at all - sometimes they even have a football match on full volume, only without the picture going along with it. Generally, the music is polluting the lovely sunset and does not support it - not sure why the owners do not cash in on that prime spot in Faro. The other downside is that you can only get a pizza (probably not homemade style) and not even a tostada. So, no reason to linger before or after the sun has...

Wir waren am letzten Tag unseres Portugal Urlaubs hier, welcher bis dato wirklich sehr schön war. Zuerst wurden wir zwar sehr freundlich empfangen und uns wurden die Karten gereicht, jedoch gab es danach das erste Problem. In keiner der drei Karten, welche auf unserem Tisch lagen war aufgelistet, welche Getränke es gibt, also bestellten wir einfach eine Sprite und eine Cola. Die Bedienung teilte uns mit, dass sie keine Sprite habe, sodass wir uns dann für einen Eistee und eine Cola entschieden. Ca. 3 Min später kam die Bedienung zurück und sagte uns, dass auch die Cola ausverkauft sei. Nun gut, ich bestellte also ein Wasser. Meine Freundin hatte sich bis dahin bereits für Thunfisch Baguettes ohne Zwibelen entschieden und ich bestellte ein Käse-Sandwich. Nach wiederum 5 Minuten kam die Bedienung und teilte uns mit, dass die Baguettes bereits fertig sind und aus der Kühltruhe kommen, sodass man die Zwiebeln nicht herunternehmen kann. Nun gut, dann halt mit Zwiebeln, doch nochmal 5 Minuten später erfuhren wir, dass überhaupt keine Thunfisch Baguettes mehr da sind und wir deshalb was anderes bestellen müssten. Also ein weiteres Sandwich, das kann ja so lange nicht dauern. 25 Minuten später habe ich dann mal nachgefragt, wie lange man denn nun für zwei Sandwiches benötigt und habe mir dann vom Chef sagen lassen dass wir auch gehen könnten wenn es zu lange dauert. Genau das haben wir dann auch getan und uns mit leerem Magen wieder auf die Suche nach einem Restaurant gemacht. Alles in Allem absolut unterste Schublade und nicht empfehlenswert. Die hierzu massiv überhöhten Preise kann man maximal noch mit der guten Lage...
