The sangria was ok. Food.. I'm not sure how to describe it 😫 my partner had pork chops - the fries were cold and the pork was chewy + had a sauce that tasted like Knorr - the waitress told me that the sauce was home made but I'm not sure how much I believe that. I had the tuna steak AKA tuna fillet, my dish was boring and most of it cold. The fillet was so disappointing, thin and pale. I'm used to be asked how I like it cooked and here there was none of that. I advise to walk an extra 5min and get to Santa Maria Street where it's full of life and delicious smells. What a great choice for affordable local food with a brilliant service. We really enjoyed our dinner here, the waitress was super welcoming and friendly. We had the espetada and tuna steak as well as some bolo de caco for a starter. Everything was really well cooked, the meat was medium rare as requested and very flavourful. We had a side of sweet potato which was a super generous portion and the waitress brought over a sugarcane syrup for me to try as I said I enjoyed the local custom of mixing sweet and savoury flavours together. Went here due to reviews seen. On arrival sat next to air conditioning fans only seats free ( outside ) - blowing hot air. Chair and table on a slant and not easy to get in and out of chair. Uninterested server / owner who was too busy chatting inside, rather than providing a service - no interaction or explanation of food on offer. Warm white wine 😡served and no condiments offered, had to reach across and get from another table. Swiss chicken ( parmo ) ok - chicken skewer dry unseasoned and not very tasty - vegetables ok - rice crunchy and inedible 🤬 no refund or money off offered for over microwaved rice.
