Such a cool little mostly vegan spot in the middle of Lagos! We were super happy to come here to fill our bellies after the Seven Hanging Valleys hike. My partner is vegan so when we travel, we always make a point to patronize vegan businesses if we can. Walking in, you are greeted with an eclectic setting and delicious smells. The entire restaurant walls are covered with napkin art from past patrons. We so very much enjoyed looking at all the art while we waited for our food. The menu is unique: you can order predetermined dishes or you can build your own burrito, bowl, set of 3 tacos, or quesadilla. Custom toppings are mostly vegan, which is such a refreshing change from conventional restaurants. We ordered nachos, the vegan enchiladas, a ginger beer, and the vegan brownie as dessert. The entire meal was so delicious, start to finish. Service was friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the menu is very reasonably priced. Lastly, the restaurant gives you a sticker with their logo with any donation to their local animal shelter, plus listings of animals up for adoption are also on the walls. Love love love this place. We will absolutely return next time we are in Lagos. Tchau e abrigada!!!

I was really upset after my visit to Beats and Burritos. First of all it only takes cash, which is inconvenient, but the bigger issue is their online menu — completely outdated with cheaper prices than what you’ll actually pay in person so it was a bit of a rude shock when we got our bill. The manager was really dismissive and unhelpful, almost as if she was bothered by customers questioning this? €40 for 2 burrito bowls and some quesadillas... The food was fine, nothing special, but they charge extra for takeaway bowls?? I’ve eaten at plenty of places and have never seen that before — it just feels unnecessary and unfriendly to customers. Maybe next time I will bring my own? The bathroom was the final straw. There was a packet of vaginal cream. No explanation, no attempt to hide it — just there sitting on the bin. Between the inconsistent pricing, extra charges, and questionable bathroom cleanliness, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Update : there was a piece of steel wool in my quesadilla.

The third best burrito I've eaten. That sounds bad, but it's high praise. The staff are friendly, the ordering system is excellent. You're given a selection check list where you tick what food you want so there is no mix ups. The filling choices are varied and plenty full. My one ré commendation would be for the kitchen to make sure the ingredients are well mixed before wrapping the burrito, nobody likes a bite that's 100% sour cream. Also the guac is served on the side so you have to spoon it onto each bite. All in all I recommend this place for proper burritos, tacos and enchiladas. The guac was top notch too. I know the resteraunt is called beats and burritos, the music playlists was excellent. but when the music speakers have distortion it's a good sign the volume is a bit too loud. (that's why I gave 4 stars for atmosphere)

I am absolutely frustrated and disappointed! At the beginning, our waitress seated us at one of the high tables and mentioned that if we wanted, we could move to another table later if one became available. A table did open up, and I wanted to ask if we could switch, since we hadn’t realized just how high those tables were — fine for a couple of cocktails, but not really the right height for having a proper meal. Unfortunately, the waitress was nowhere to be found. We asked one of her colleagues, and he said he would check with her. Either he forgot, or she simply didn’t care, because instead of getting back to us, she seated other guests at the free table. It would have been absolutely fine if she couldn’t move us, but to completely ignore us after offering the option in the first place is just absurd. Our starter was forgotten at first, and even after we asked for it, it took ages for them to finally bring us the nachos. I wanted to have my main dish and starter together, and the waitress knew that. In the end, my main dish was already cold when the starter arrived. How long does it take to bring out nachos, seriously? After that, we were ignored by the waitress for the rest of the evening. We always had to call someone over instead of being asked if everything was okay. All the sauces in this little basket were empty. It’s understandable if one sauce runs out, but to bring a basket where all sauces are empty? Why don’t you check beforehand if everything is filled? Then we had to wait a total of 40 minutes just to be able to pay! Absolutely outrageous, and only because we were once again completely ignored by the waiters. I even had to take my food to the kitchen myself and ask them to pack up the leftovers. At that point, I also asked for the bill. But the bill didn’t come. I waited another 10 minutes and then had to walk to the waiter station myself to pay. After this terrible experience I just wanted to pay and leave, but then there were items on the bill that we hadn’t even ordered. Another mistake. After the bill was corrected and I finally paid, the cashier even had the audacity to ask if everything had been okay. I said no, the service was awful. no response from him. I am so shocked by this evening, especially because we were here just a few days ago and the service was so much better. Mistakes happen and the restaurant was pretty full, but so many mistakes all at once? Being ignored by the waitress the whole evening? Having to call over different waiters every time we needed something? An absolute waste of money, I will definitely not come back here again. Our waitress was the one with the dyed black/blonde hair,...

Sadly I have to put one star in to review. This was by far the worst service I've ever been unfortunate to recieve. From entering the staff seemed to be unphased by our presence and even bothered they had to serve costomers at all! they seemed to delight in talking amongst themselves not so nicely about their other patrons, thinking it would go unseen it didnt ....even tho we checked out google reviews so we assumed it could be ok. It was far from this, when our food finally arrived my partners was very basic and thats to be slightly positive with this terrible review. mine was not cooked at all and really cold but with a bit of melted cheese on top! When I mentioned it to the waitress discreetly, she asked me what should I do..!? I hesitated because I'm not cooking the food and she asked me if I was OK,  I stated eh I would like if it was hot!  She  took it away without so much as an apology or sorry but with an annoyed face and stated when I handed her the plate they won't take the cutlery to heat.  which is really terrible service to say the least, there was no let me sort that out for you or im sorry. Meanwhile we ordered a beer thinking it will be fine.. (btw we never recieved our beer)..10 mins later she comes back and asks me what I wanted them to do in the kitchen with my food. By this stage I was over Beats and Burritos trlerrible service and just asked her to cancel it. Again she asked me if I was OK with a smirk ..I had to explain that I wasn't ok and basic service and food prep was shockingly bad the attitude from the staff was atrocious. She then told me it was too late ... basic training and good staff goes a long niceway ,If the food had been basic and the staff we could have turned a blind eye but sadly a warning to spend your money some where else in lagos. Since then we have been to great places with great...

We stumbled across beats and Burritos as both the tapas places we fancied were closed / closing early despite TripAdvisor stating they'd be open till late. At first we thought it was a vegan place and yes they do offer loads of vegan n vegetation options but trust us meat eaters are very well catered for here. As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly, made very welcome, they embrace covid safety yet it does not impact the warmth of their service or the atmosphere of this funky little restaurant. They have a normal menu though we opted for the choose your own dish where you tick what you want in it and they make it for you. I had the beef burrito and my partner had the chicken, the beef was slow cooked and full of flavour, apparently the chicken was tasty and moist too, the rest of the ingredients fresh, zingy and great quality. The food was quick, we hardly had time to start drinking our tasty and well priced cocktails, the service was attentive and friendly throughout, the food reasonably priced and quality, well worth a visit. Didn't come to Lagos to eat Mexican though when you stumble across a great little place like this you embrace it and enjoy it, we'll definitely be going back...
