We were family of 4, parents plus 2 kids, 5 & 3. Ordered bread with hummus, olives, tomatoes and cucumber for the children. They devoured everything. They loved it. We couldn’t resist and had some ourselves. It came with 2 big slices of nice, thick, rustic bread. They waitress told us we could have had more for free but that they don’t like waste so we’d have had to ask in case we wanted some. We loved that! Great attitude! In the end it was plenty and the kids were really satisfied. I also bought a beer (home-made) and my son spilled it while playing. I was really disappointed as I loved it. The nice lady came 2 minutes later with another beer (this one on the house). Our mains also came. We took the dish of the day, beetroot curry. Presentation was amazing and it was pure goodness. It made me so happy, really put me in a good mood for the whole day. We also took chocolate cake for the kids and obviously tried some.. it was delicious. It all turned out to be 28€ish. Really really good value. Hope to go back before we fly home. We are very grateful for the lovely time there. PS We used the toilet and it was spotless! That’s a plus.

Very cosy & friendly small café with vegan food. I decided for cappuccino with oat milk (tall coffee possible too) and pancakes with blue berries & maple syrup. They also have banana bread & chocolate brownie as well (they look so tasty, If I had seen them before, I would have ordered them.) You can also choose between muesli and different types of toasts. At 12pm they have a lunch bowl. A huge metallic dispenser gives you water for free. The owner is from Switzerland and took over the café in 2017, transformed and reopened it. Inside there are two places to sit for 4 people each, which one of them has 2 sockets to charge your devices. I didn't see if the other place has one. Outside you have 3 opportunities to sit alone or with a group of yours and enjoy your coffee, fresh juice or smoothie. All things are for take away too. The staff is very friendly and tried hard. I felt comfortable there. Thanks for having a nice time here! 🙂

The vegetarian options here are quite limited. If you are vegan you will probably enjoy the options here but for the rest of us the options are quite limiting and not worth the premium. For example, there are not many options with eggs or cheese and getting an extra egg costs about €3. The seating at the table inside was also uncomfortable because the bench seating is too high and it is awkward to eat at such a low table. The biggest negative for me is that this is the only place in Portugal that we have been to on this trip that has asked us at checkout if we'd like to add a tip at checkout. To me, not worrying about a tip is one of the best parts of eating out in Europe vs the US.

What a nice little find in the heart of the old town. The staff were lovely, and just the nice people you'd expect to find in a mindful place like this. Everything is vegan with some gluten free options, including quiche, falafel salad, all toasts can be made with gluten free bread (toasted separately), and a selection of cakes, including cheesecake and brownies. This was my second visit this week so I can totally recommend the Buddha bowl with felafels and the mini cheesecake. I also tried the toast lox and the gf bread was really nice. I would have preferred thinner slices and more chese, as the pickled salmn overpowered the delicate flavour of the che*se. I also had a decaf latte with soy. My only gripe is the pastries are not separated, so cross contamination in theory could occur (warning for coeliacs). Lastly, they could do with more sitting space. Sitting outside I could see many people tempted to go in but leaving, I assume due to the lack of free tables. I would totally be a regular if I lived here! All the best to you guys -fly that mindfulness...
