After my wife and I searched for a spot to get a late night dinner, we found BêDois. Unfortunately due to the late hour, they were in the middle of closing but we were suddenly greeted by kind and courteous staff. We were very hungry and the kind gentleman working greeted us with excitement and told us not to worry, that while their kitchen was mostly closed he would see what he could whip up together. We were so thankful, he came out shortly with a beautiful cheese board, some beers and decadent bread/olives. It was simply amazing and the kindness and level of service remained consistent throughout our experience. Also, the low lit, cool music and atmosphere was the perfect ambience. The food and beer were amazing, and we most definitely will be back, we will recommend this place to everyone we know. Thank...
Read moreI had walked past this cafe numerous times without entering. The other evening my wife and I were looking for dessert in our neighborhood and stumbled into BeDois hoping they were still serving their Apple Crumble. We were greeted by the lovely owner named Lyon who had no issues telling us the history of the establishment. The decor is very relaxed and the vibe of the cafe really makes you want to grab a drink and chill out for awhile.
To me, this place is what a cafe/restaurant should be. Its family owned and operated. It has so much character and its obvious that the family cares about the business and its customers. Highly recommend the food/desert/drinks. This place is so charming and friendly. It would be a shame if you found yourself in Santos/Lapa for an evening if food and drink and...

But food is only half the success of this restaurant. The rest is service and the fact that members of the local community spend their free time there. The host is a firm but calm man who patiently tells the guests about the dishes served. We ate on the terrace, where every now and then someone would sit and join the company. Everything together made us feel like local people, resting after work. People in Portugal are obviously nice and kind. I recommend it to everyone who wants a break from the...
