By far my favorite restaurant in all Rua Do Benformoso. The two waitresses are super friendly and always have an amazing attitude despite the hard work they have to do all day every day. The owner is also an amazing host. He is always checking if anything else is needed. The best part is that he always offers to add extra curry (for free) every time I go. He also gives me complementary sweets every now and then as a token of appreciation. The two younger guys that are in the counter are also super friendly. The kitchen staff also super friendly. They all make me feel really welcome there. Very warm people. Many people will agree that the thing that makes you keep coming back to the same place is always how they treat you and the friendliness. BaniGala exceeds all expectations in this. The food is amazing. I am in love with their Mutton Curry. I have also tried the chicken curry, beef curry, chana masala, chicken biryani, etc... and they are all super delicious. The sweets are also super good. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Thank you BaniGala for being the best restaurant in all Martim Moniz. Its because of your service, dedication, friendliness and overall environment that you create that I keep coming back...

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were immediately overwhelmed by the vibrant cultural life on the street. We were warmly invited in, and a table was cleared especially for us. The food was incredibly delicious. The sweets were delicate and opened up new flavors I had never experienced before.

The father of the owner was exceptionally kind, and we had a wonderful conversation about our backgrounds and histories. His son, a truly kind young man, treated us to some of the most delicious traditional sweets after a great chat.

After our visit, I left feeling full, content, and enriched — not only by the amazing food but also by learning about a culture that was previously unfamiliar to me.
