Disappointing experience โ not laptop-friendly and unwelcoming attitude!
Stopped by this cafรฉ thinking it might be a quiet place to enjoy a drink and catch up on some work โ not because it looked amazing (it doesnโt), but simply because it was nearly empty. There were only two other tables occupied, so it seemed like the perfect spot for a peaceful hour.
We ordered two lattes, an iced tea, and a slice of cake โ spent around โฌ14. Not exactly a cheap stop for what turned out to be a very disappointing experience. A few minutes after I opened my laptop (no signs anywhere saying it wasnโt allowed), an older woman working there (or the owner?) came over and told me I couldn't use it. When I respectfully asked "Why not?" she replied, "Use it at home." in the kind of tone that makes you wonder why someone working in hospitality chose that line of work.
There was no rule posted, the place was almost empty, and I wasnโt disturbing anyone โ but apparently, being polite and paying customers isnโt enough. You also have to read minds.
The inside was stuffy and hot โ no proper ventilation, and we literally had to use handheld fans to cool ourselves down. The menu? For a place that brands itself around chocolate, it was laughably basic: a slice of chocolate cake and hot chocolate. Thatโs it. Iโve seen gas station cafรฉs with more exciting options.
If youโre looking for good service, a welcoming attitude, or, honestly, even just decent value โ this is...
ย ย ย Read moreStepping into this charming Cafe, one is immediately greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked chocolate. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with stone pillars and a beautiful stone roof that lends a touch of rustic elegance. But the true star of the show is the chocolate cake, which has garnered the restaurant's reputation as being home to the best chocolate cake in the world.
As an avid chocolate enthusiast, I was skeptical about such a bold claim. However, after taking my first bite, I was blown away. The cake is incredibly light and airy, yet intensely chocolaty without being overpowering. It's a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate, leaving you wanting more.
To complement this decadent dessert, I ordered a glass of cold milk. The combination was heavenly. The coolness of the milk perfectly balanced the richness of the cake, creating a harmonious blend that was simply divine.
The staff at Landeau is equally delightful. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Their recommendations are spot-on, and they take pride in ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience.
If you're a chocolate lover, this restaurant is a must-visit. The chocolate cake is truly a culinary masterpiece, and the overall experience is one that will leave you...

Actually I do not rate services bad, neither 1 star but today I had to as this happen the second time at the same place to me. I am not rating the cake or the coffee shop itself, it is the staff. I was the only one there when I enter and ordered my cake. After few minutes some people appeared and people I know. So as I was finishing my cake I move to them and we started to talk , obviously no mask on my face. Then I asked the staff to pay, she replied in a very rude tone "that I have moved the table and not wearing mask" - as I mentioned above, this is not the first time, three weeks ago similar situation. Might can happen that someone has a bad day, but this staff has a few more. I left with the feeling that I am not welcomed in this place. My advice to the Management, explain your staff what good customer service is and the way of approaching people. This is just scary and I have to rate 1 star. As I live here I was a regular customer, now I am not happy anymore. Being rude does not work in your business, especially in...
