Good value for money and some excellent dishes. Try the fried "choco" (cuttlefish), see picture, which is lightly fried, almost tempura, with big chunks of meat... Best I've had in Portugal... The house-made butter with herbs is great too, as are the mushrooms "à Bulhão Pato" (olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, coriander etc) which has a sauce great for dipping the bread. Would like to return and try the curries (Carril). A nice neighborhood place, not fancy, with some elevated dishes. Waiter was super helpful and friendly. Opens for lunch at 12:30 and then closed in mid afternoon before opening at 7pm for dinner (I think). Closed Sunday & Monday. Google hours need to be updated.

Great cozy experience, the food was satisfying and the service was very friendly and welcoming. The staff really took the time to explain to us the dishes they offer even though there was a language barrier. They offer a variety of red meat and seafood and their sangria is on point 👌

Just an AMAZING place. Incredible food, super lovely owner, really cheap prices, delicious wine, very welcoming and homelike atmosphere in general, probably the best meal we've had in Lisbon so far!

Having spent a week in Lisbon being constantly disappointed with the tourist-trap restaurants, we found ourselves trying the Coutada more by accident (or, rather, geography - being close to our apartment) than by anything else. My wife, a keen pescatarian was looking for good seafood, I'd pretty much given up with earlier experiences elsewhere with poor food in Lisbon. WOW!, what a surprise, a lovely small restaurant with an enthusiastic owner and a talented cook that will sell you the story of Portuguese food whilst delivering food that wasn't just better that anything else we'd tried locally, but could hold it's head against any restaurant we've visited anywhere. Beautiful food, great experience, highly recommended if you find yourself near Intedente. Or, if you're situated elsewhere in Lisbon then it's only 5 minutes walk from the Metro.

My one regret - finding this on the last day of our vacation, otherwise we'd return. Do yourself a favour and...

A very nice and cute Restaurant with a very authentic atmosphere. You won't hardly find this by coincidence but a little stroll from the Metro really is worth the effort. The restaurant is quite small and offers the menu in Portugese, English, French and German. The prices are cheap. We especially liked the very friendly and honest service. We never had the feeling that we were just welcome for our money. Our warmest recommendation- if we should ever come back to Lisbon we will...
