Phenomenal spot for a casual dinner or sip of beer! I came here with a couple of friends (who grew up in Lisbon, so you know it has to be legit if the locals love it) to try their francesinha, a traditional Portuguese dish that is a staple in Porto. It is technically a sandwich, as it includes a ton of different meats sandwiched between two slices of toasted bread, but it's then absolutely drowned in cheese and molho de francesinha (a gorgeous tomato and beer sauce that just brings the whole dish together). It's traditionally made with a variety of hot meats, often beef and pork, but Dote, thankfully, also had a vegetarian option! They used a bunch of different vegan meat alternatives, so it preserved all the depth of flavor and variety of textures that typically goes into the dish. They topped the sandwich off with a fried egg with a wonderfully runny egg, and then served it with a side of the crispiest fries I've ever seen. The food was genuinely so phenomenal -- the sandwich was super flavorful, and I am obsessed with the molho de francesinha. The egg was a great final touch, as the runny yolk just added to the richness from the cheese and sauce.

Truly can't recommend Dote enough -- it's super chill, and it's the perfect place to enjoy this Porto staple (especially if you aren't able to make it over to Porto for this trip :/) while catching up with friends. The servers are also super friendly, and they offer separate English and...

Voltámos a reclamar, retiraram o valor do salmão.

Nota o valor 35/40 inclui o salmão, tendo descido...

We wanted to watch the first game of the rugby World Cup but hadn’t booked a table anywhere. After being turned away from a couple of places, the staff at Dote’s helped us out with a table for food, even though they had a reservation booked for 90 minutes later, on the understanding we would leave when the reservation arrived. It so happened that 2 of the party didn’t attend, so although the restaurant was super busy, they went out of their way to set us up with a 2 person table so we could finishing watching the game. Both our main meal and desserts were delicious, and amazing value for money. The staff were so friendly, and we received better service here when it was packed than we’ve had in empty restaurants! A huge 5* from...

Really great food but terrible service 😅 They forgot to set the table for us, so we had to ask for cutlery. They brought appetizers and main course at the same time. It was not enough place on the table for that and we didnt know what to eat first. We fulled our wine glass and then waitress came and she poured wine into a full glass. It was weird, like they trying to rush us or sth. Then the waiter hit my boyfriend by chair in the head 😆 Also it was only 2 tables taken in restaurant but we had service from 3 different people at the same time, they seem to cooperate really badly. Anyway, great food - but you need to improve the service 😊

I recently dined at "Dote Cervejaria Moderna" and had the pleasure of tasting the Francesinha, a traditional dish that pleasantly surprised me and that I recommend to anyone wanting to try an authentic flavor of Lisbon. The service stood out for its courtesy and speed, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The prices were fair, reflecting the quality of the food and the service provided. I can confidently say that "Dote Cervejaria Moderna" is a restaurant worth visiting, both for the quality of its dishes and the efficiency of its staff. Highly recommended.
