City Stays Cais Sodré Apartments — Hotel in Lisbon

We spent 6 days on a business trip in apartment 3E on the third floor. There's no elevator in the building - not a downside, just a note. The apartment needs some renovation, re-painting the walls and pretty much everything inside is worn out. Not luxury, not really miserable, but needs renovations. One of the showers was broken and one of the bathrooms door could not be closed, and it took the owner(s) like 2 days of messaging to fix these, but eventually these were fixed before the end of our stay. On the floors some kind of cheap laminated flooring which is squeaky ...

That's my fourth time in Lisbon (in an airbnb/apartment) for the past 5 years and this place is the worst i've been to.

The area is really noisy, i mean - really really noisy, especially in the weekends, because it's located just next to the pink street and all the bars. Also there is 24/7 traffic jams at the roundabout in front of the building, cars beeping nonstop etc. I am a heavy sleeper and still with the windows closed i woke up at least 2 times per night because of the noise outside. The location is quite fine, close to pretty much everything, with a bit of uphill walking to...

The only advantage of this Apartment is that it is quite central. The apartment we had is in need of renovation. Unfortunately you couldn't open any windows as there was a very smelly odor coming in, in general the building stank. It wasn't very clean either, the WLAN didn't work and all the sockets didn't work either. I also can't say whether the towels that were...

Pour les fans d'aeronautique ou les fêtards... Famille à éviter !!! Nous avons loué une chambre dans cet "hôtel " cette nuit... Une HORREUR !!! Nous étions au dernier étage (5eme)sans ascenseur... Cela passe encore... Le problème est le bruit des climatiseurs des restaurants voisins et la chaleur !!! Moi et ma compagne n'avons quasiment pas dormi (2 h peut être... ) en cause les climatiseurs tournent toute la nuit (ça s'arrête vers 6 h pour infos...) avec une fenêtre à simple vitrage sans volet... Ceux qui sont fans du b52 apprécieront sans doute... Deuxième problème une chaleur écrasante du fait d'un appartement situé sous les combles sans clim !! Juste quelques ventilateurs laissés par la direction pour aérer... Oui... Sauf que la nuit cela rajoute au bruit ambiant !!

Côtés positifs : appartement propre et récent, bien équipé, draps et serviette propres fournis...

Donc famille à éviter absolument !!! Ou disons à ceux qui veulent un hôtel mais pas...
